We have seen some players come and go over the past seasons who didn't quite make the grade. Some were meant to be the next best thing and some were meant to be that dreaded last piece of the jigsaw, and even tho some had relative success they would hardly go down in Anfield folklore.

Remember It's just a bit of fun.

The most excited I was out of all the Signings was Harry Kewell because i really thought that was going to be our season when we bought him.

The biggest soft spot i had tho was for Igor Biscan I was really willing him to come good for us.

Fernando Morientes.

Top class player at Real Madrid, its a shame that he didn't live up to the expectation in the premiership.

Harry Kewell....... but for injuries I think he would have been a top player for us and we would have won a couple more cups as well.

Kewell was a quality player who had already proved himself in the premiership. He also turned down man utd and was class in his first season for us...sadly injuries ended what should have been a great player.

After pulling off the signing of Jari Litmanen on a free transfer Houllier refused to play him. It is true that he had some small injuries but a lot of the time he was bench warming while Heskey was in the starting 11.

Given a proper opportunity he could have been one of most astute signing the Premiership has ever seen considering he came on a free and would have had the opportunity to form a partnership with Owen.

Total waste of a fantastic opportunity.

EEGOR! EEGOR!!  :D

Went for Kewell though, really expected great things when he signed, and was still hoping he would come good right until the end, never happened unfortunately

Kewell for me as well.  What a player he was at Leeds and sadly, we only saw glimpses of that form down the years.

BTW, followed up on MH's question and moved this thread (sorry Stu. :D ).

For me, it has to be Harry..... what a player he was in his prime. Probably unlucky with injuries but didn't help himself in that he was always available for Australia but injured (and remained inured!) for us when he came back.

Wasted opportunity...... Jari was another one I couldn't understand.

Smicer for me, he had more bad days than good but scored a great goal in istanbul and showed in flashes how good he could be.
