I know there are many more that I couldn't possible squeez in like Ray Clemence, Peter Beardsley, Steve McMahon, Steven Gerrard, Steve McMannaman, Steve Nicol, John Toshak, Emlyn Hughes, Ronnie Whelan, Steve Heighway, Ron Yates etc.

My favourite is (obviously) the one and only Digger......who can forget the magical 87/88 and 89/90 seasons?

Yeah, there's many there that I didn't include like Lawernson, Craig Johnston, Barry Venison, Alan Kennedy, Sammy Lee, David Fairclough, Tommy Smith, Sammi Hyppia etc but I think the above nominated 10 are probably the best since the late 1960s, give or take.

King Kenny, no question!

If there was one player I'd want in my all-time XI it would be Robbie Fowler. On form there is no better goalscorer  John Barnes would be close contender, there are really too many close favourites to make just one

4-3-3

GK Grobbelaar
LB Nicol
CB Hyypia
CB Hansen
RB Venison
LCM Barnes
CM Molby
RCM Dalglish
LCF Owen
CF Aldridge
RCF Fowler

Owzat...Fowler aside, you have practically picked the 1987/88 team!

They were a fabulous side.....they would have given AC Milan a run for their money in Europe in the late 1980s had they not been banned.

that would have been something else, van basten, gullit, baresi, maldini, rijkard against that great liverpool side, barnes, beardsley, aldo, lawrenson, hansen, nicol, whelan, mcmahon.I think its fair to say we could have won another couple of european cups were it not for heysel.

waaaaw!....their are too many good players in the history of Liverpool...but I would go with:

Kevin Keegan
Robbie Fowler
Kenny Dalglish
Ian Rush
John Barnes

I don't believe that Owens has the talent to be in the "Hall of fame" list ....at least not yet.

I have seen every great liverpool player since 1958.
The one that stands out head and shoulders above them all for his all round skill and brilliance is.....Kenny Dalglish

I voted for Ian Rush, although Dalglish goes hand in hand.  Only cause I couldn't vote for two.  Dalglish was the first inspiration, being the player manager, he was awesome, but Rush scored the goals, and thats all that mattered to the five year old JonnyMac.

Kenny Dalglish is the greatest. He scored a world class goal against Bruges in the 1978 Euro Cup Final, and provided many more brilliance as an individual and more so, as a team player.
