Looks like we are trying to find potential world class players for good prices instead of spending loads on the finished articles.
I think it’s a good strategy for us but as long as we have a long term manager, if we flip managers every couple of years we will not see that potential reached.
We don't have a long term manager though and Hughes looks set to be off soon as well.
We cant gamble on everything, as it stands we have lots with no xp and coming from inferior leagues so we need to be careful on how much of that we bring in. Leadership is another issue as these lads are going to need it to settle.
Iraola is going to have to perform miracles with the squad he's left with at the start of the season. They look set to leave him with a lot who aren't good enough in the hope he can duct tape it together. A 2 Yr deal with half of the squad needing to go and the other half going to walk for free in a year. Some long term planning going on there!!
