seasons 1 game old and your season is over already....why do we bother hey

I know, the biggest jokes are some of those who post on here. However whilst they do so in the rumours thread, self titled for miserable gits - there's no reason to complain.

Fill your boots lads, just don't go derailing the other threads with your misery please.

No bigger joke than people believe our current strategy will get us anywhere.

Next you will be saying we are doing the same as Spurs

That echo article above was written at 07:22 this morning - a lot seems to have changed since then.

Another dude on twitter with a point:

Spurs are selling best player to build a team. We want to keep our best player and add to our team. We can't force players to join us

Last season we identified our targets. 1st choice Mktharian, 2nd choice Costa, 3d choice ? - it's ended up being Willian cause of Anzhi's financial situation

We bid for all 3 players, bids have been accepted, but the player has decided to stay / go elsewhere. Not a lot we can do about those three. - Just need to move on to the next set of targets.... (though unfortunately that target is now going to think he's 4th or 5th choice)

BBC Sport's Ben Smith: Liverpool have, I'm told, missed out on Willian. Leandro Damiao not on list of alternatives. Spurs now look set to complete moves for Willian and Erik Lamela. Anyone would think they were about to come into some money.

i will be sick if we lose out on willian to spurs. if its a case of he is just a greedy fooker then nowt can be done but i really hope we are doing our damnest to sell the club to him.
as we currently stand its a lot to ask for this squad to get top 4.

6 weeks ago the declaration was we had bought the squad players now for the 1st team players - we will miss out on players because of our position in the football world currently but why does it seem to take so long to get things sorted - other clubs seem to get things done quickly and smoothly - we just bumble along and miss out on any player we look to get but face a battle with another team.

Andy Hunter (Guardian) - Liverpool refused to go above their initial valuation and Willian is White Hart Lane bound as a result.

we have been faffing about all summer mate. all our priorities imo were done on 1st july and we have done nothing since.
willian maybe became a target when anzi announced they would sell last week but i think we are only interested tbh because of the pressure to make a marquee signing.

big clubs like Arsenal are so much more efficient

And they also will suffer if they dont improve before the end of the window

But what about the other 4 teams ? Why didn't you mention UTD,City ,Chelsea and Spurs - all were better than us before the window and have massively improved during the summer ( except UTD who were already massively better than us )

FFS it appears that even Norwich and Southampton are better than us in the transfer market.

But it's all ok - we have made a profit in the window and saved 400k a week in wages - so we have our priorities sorted then

So in terms of squad ability where do you place us in the league ? Top 4

city chelsea backed by sugar daddys   utd haven't spent this summer as far as I'm aware..... as for southampton and norwich....remind me next May...I'm not too concerned with their large scale team rebuilding at those particular clubs..... :D .

we made a profit and we've saved on wages...ooh good perhaps they may knock thruppence of the pies then!
