Currently Spurs have a -£60mil transfer window - we have a plus 3-4mil transfer window. Even if Bale stays they have still spend £60mil. Spurs are looking to buy quality players to get them into the CL.

4th place will be sown up unless Arsenal finally spend big if that happens

Edit: Coentro is reportedly part of the Bale deal as well

Lamela and Willan!  :suspect:

F**k me if they pull that off Spuds might well be challenging for consecutive titles in the years to come.

Add Coentrao to that list too, along with Soldado, Paulinho and the others they've bought and I'm afraid to sound like Benny but that's fourth gone.

If you look at our signings and then compare that to Spudz we have simply been blown away Benny.

People may argue with you as much as they want but when you compare the following:

Spudz: Soldado, Chadli, Capoue, Paulinho, Lamela, Willan and Coentrao
Us:      Mignolet, Aspas, Alberto, Toure, Cissokho (loan)

The proof is really in the pudding.

F**k me they are just on another level.  :no

I'm trying to stay positive mate, the latter deals aren't done yet.   :(

Here's hoping for a miracle and we either bring in Willan or Eriksen by the end of this week.

And finish the transfer window with the Greek kid.

At the moment the reality is its all looking a bit pear shaped.

Well they can always sell us Sigurðsson now

Even if they did the Gooners probably would have snapped him up even before Ian Ayre's alarm clock woke him up

I don't know why I'm laughing this is a f**king disaster

Good Will hunting - Reds hopeful of transfer deal ,Positive talks lead club to hope they can see off Tottenham interest

Liverpool FC remain hopeful they can convince Anzhi Makhachkala winger Willian to move to Anfield.

The Reds are battling with Tottenham for the services of the £30million-rated Brazilian winger.

Both clubs have enjoyed positive talks with the Russian outfit over a fee and Willian, who has his heart set on a switch to the Premier League, is mulling over his options.

Some reports have suggested that the Londoners' ability to offer European football this season has helped give them the edge in discussions.

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas also knows the 25-year-old personally having come close to signing him twice before.

However, Liverpool have been encouraged by their talks with the player's representatives and manager Brendan Rodgers is hoping Willian will accept the chance to line up alongside fellow countrymen Lucas Leiva and Philippe Coutinho.

Liverpool are expected to confirm the signing of Aly Cissokho on a season-long loan from Valencia today.

The French left-back passed his medical yesterday.Liverpool FC remain hopeful they can convince Anzhi Makhachkala winger Willian to move to Anfield.

I know, the biggest jokes are some of those who post on here. However whilst they do so in the rumours thread, self titled for miserable gits - there's no reason to complain.

Fill your boots lads, just don't go derailing the other threads with your misery please.

4th was over before the first game anyway for us - the signings being made by us and other clubs sorted that out
