If these Willian rumours are true its a bit strange considering Rodgers comments regarding playing Coutinho down the middle.

not really, he's just as comfortable on the wing. I've seen a lot of websites say things like " playing as an attacking midfielder or winger"

could this willian be converted into a wide attacker? after rodgers spoke about bringing in the right players to allow coutinho to be played centrally it would be a bit odd if his next signing was a big money move who would basically consign coutinho to the flank permanently.

always the possibility of switching/rotating them during play

like how beckam and giggs kept switching during matches for the scum

have coutinho and williamn switch during matches and totally confuse the opposition

I think Rogers would want his forward payers to be very fluid and switch and change during the match.. Willan and Coutinio would be perfect for this.. hope it happens!!
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

by his youtube clips he looks brilliant, skillful wideman with plenty of power and pace, seriously hope this happens!

imagine this attack -

                                        suarez       coutinho       willian

                                                        sturridge

that would be a forward line to compete with any team in the prem, if the willian transfer comes off and then some gritt for dm or cd i think top 4 is realistic

Don't think it will happen tbh. If he's available I'm sure there are clubs that can pay more and offer European football. I'd love to be proved wrong though.

What a difference a day makes  :eyebrow

Suarez staying, and we are now heavily linked with a quality addition.  That front four looks scary and full of goals.  Perhaps the balancing of the books so far this window has been done to enable us to make a major signing like this one?

I am not holding my breath as you know Spurs will nip in at the 11th hour and starting sniffing around, but this would be a very exciting addition and would make the coming season one to look forward to with ambition and anticipation.

A front 4 of Coutinho, Willian, Suarez and Sturridge would give us a real chance at top 4. But the question is if LFC is an attractive proposition for Willian. Maybe some of his Brazilian mateys can have a word.

yes this would be a very good addition to the team in an attackign sense, and defensively I think we'll be stronger than last year as well, especially if we can get that greek lad signed as well.

Would take a lot of persuading and a bumper wage offer.

We just shifted £90k a week with Downing.  We've spent less than nothing (net) this window, and reduced the total wage bill again.  I'm not saying it will happen but add that to FSG's statements of investing not being an issue, then it could happen.

He is prob on around £130k a week there - would possibly get him for around £30mil and £150k a week
