Apparently BMG (Atletico Mineiro sponsors) own a percentage of Bernard and also have links to Porto so expect a deal to be brokered for him to go there. He looks like he could be a very good player but again, I'm not convinced his ready for the premier league yet. Also his a very small lad and we are beginning to look a very short team in terms of height. Coutinho, Sterling, Aspas, Allen all below 5'10 and Lucus, Downing and Assaidi below 6ft. It's all good having this these small tricky players but in the premier league you've got to strike a balance other teams will just over power us, especially away from home

i dont think it makes any odds up front, as long as your defence and center mids can stand up to the physical battle it`s not a problem.
anyway we are talking about a wide forward here, the last winger that was a hard case was john morrisey from scottie!

For sure, you can have a couple of short players but just feel if you have to many, it's going to be a problem, obviously more so at set pieces which we defend as a team and not just rely on our defenders and say Gerrard to deal with them. The balance has to be right and at the moment I think we have our fair share of short players. I mean the likes of Coutinho, Allen, Sterling are below average height at around 5'6/5'7 and on top of that they are slight in build to. It would be a definite concern for me. Could maybe get away with it in say the Spanish or Portuguese league but a lot of teams in the prem do make it a physical battle and I think we are pretty poor at defending set pieces as it is and could struggle even more if we are lacking height around the pitch.
