City add Negrado to their squad.

Going to be hard to stop them winning the title

i`m sure our coaching staff watched him many times before they took the step of contacting his club.
him and ronaldinho are the two stars of athletic minero who have reached the south american version of the CL final.
the first leg is tonight but benard is suspended due to accumilation of yellow cards but he can play in the second leg.
he says he wants to get the final out of the way before he decides where he`s going (he`s already said he`s leaving)
he is exactly what we need, he fits the system, he doesnt shove sturridge into a position that doesnt suit his game and like coutinho he is a star on the rise.
i hope we get him but if we dont i hope he doesnt go to arsenal or spurs.

But how many times have you watched him though - you rate him very highly so I'm guessing you have seen him a few times and heard of him before his sub appearances in the Conf Cup ?

Bernard will go to Porto. Porto wanted Bruma, but his off to Chelsea so they will go for Bernard now. Apparently BMG (Atletico Mineiro sponsors) own a percentage of Bernard and also have links to Porto so expect a deal to be brokered for him to go there. He looks like he could be a very good player but again, I'm not convinced his ready for the premier league yet. Also his a very small lad and we are beginning to look a very short team in terms of height. Coutinho, Sterling, Aspas, Allen all below 5'10 and Lucus, Downing and Assaidi below 6ft. It's all good having this these small tricky players but in the premier league you've got to strike a balance other teams will just over power us, especially away from home

i saw him in the conf cup and have watched practically every youtube clip on the net of him, he has got pace and skill and he`s a natural wide forward, thats exactly what we need.
i dont agree with you (and others) on here who think we should spend big on an out and out forward to replace sturridge, imo the sturridge/coutinho axis was the one major positive to take out of last season and i dont think that partnership should be broken up (why end up starting from scratch again?).

i dont think it makes any odds up front, as long as your defence and center mids can stand up to the physical battle it`s not a problem.
anyway we are talking about a wide forward here, the last winger that was a hard case was john morrisey from scottie!

For sure, you can have a couple of short players but just feel if you have to many, it's going to be a problem, obviously more so at set pieces which we defend as a team and not just rely on our defenders and say Gerrard to deal with them. The balance has to be right and at the moment I think we have our fair share of short players. I mean the likes of Coutinho, Allen, Sterling are below average height at around 5'6/5'7 and on top of that they are slight in build to. It would be a definite concern for me. Could maybe get away with it in say the Spanish or Portuguese league but a lot of teams in the prem do make it a physical battle and I think we are pretty poor at defending set pieces as it is and could struggle even more if we are lacking height around the pitch.

Summed it up very well - we need some sort of physical presence in all areas on the pitch or we will get bullied ain

BILD Sport say LFC have made a £14m bid for Greek defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos

Not going to be accepted, but at least it's a start

Solid defender... but a lot of money for a centre back?

It is a lot but I think it's going to be needed to spent a decent amount to get the quality we need whilst not in the CL
