Liverpool are not interested in Eriksen.

Apparently we've sent a scout to Holland but nothing more, there has been no contact from Liverpool to Ajax.

That's what it's sounding like.  Very curious to see who we actually end up going in for, and hopefully we can consider it a pleasant surprise.

Hopefully. I hadn't heard of Mkhitaryan before we were linked with him, and he went for a considerable amount of money to the champions league finalists, so if we can complete a similar deal... then maybe.

mirror has madrid bidding for Suarez - £10m + Higuain.

Doubt very much Higuain would agree to come here with no european football, but I'd definately do a deal if it was him + £20m.

He's still only 25 - A year younger than Suarez - 6' and fairly quick and in the last 5 seasons has scored 75 goals in 112 league games (slightly better strike rate than Suarez)

Last 4 seasons league games:
Higuain 75 in 112 - a goal every 1.49 games
Suarez 80 in 123- a goal every 1.54 games

I dont want to lose Suarez really, but if Higuain would agree to come to us, then it would be a great opportunity to get another great striker

According to some rumors, there might be an offer for Suarez from Bayern, 25m + Shaqiri. Another offer is from Real, 10m + Higuain. I don't think Madrid's offer is high enough, but the offer from Bayern is definitely an acceptable offer.

Well it looks like we are waiting to off load suarez before we go back into the market, BR has already admitted he hasnt made a real first team signing yet so has the plan always been to sell suarez?

Sounds unlikely but Shaquiri is a great player so that would be a very good deal.

I dont doubt that mate I`m jut going by what the manager has said that the squad looks ok now and his next signings will be first team players. With that in mind surely we still need at least 3 players which made me wonder if the plan wasnt always to offload suarez because i doubt we have 30 to 40m in the bank.

he has said earlier in the year that he wanted to get all his business done early. we went and spent 25 odd million and now he is saying that none of them are real 1st team players  judging by his comments after the preston game he is very pleased with mingy, toure and aspas so i really doubt they are squad fillers.
if we had our 1st team targets identified then i dont see what the hold up is other than as you said, selling suarez. i still expect others to go as in reina, coates and skrtel with possibly downing added to that so we could have a lot of work to do in the closing weeks.
the fact that rodgers has claimed that stevie signing a contract was possibly the most important signing this summer says it all.
