He needs to be an almost fatherly figure who will offer advice and direction.

That's just over £60M (net) with funds from a few on loan players expected to further reduce that figure, they also slashed the wage bill during the last window.
Let's hope they've just been getting our accounts in order and will now push on and strengthen the squad, only time will tell.

Its pretty simple to deduce that after splurging an absolute fortune on utter dross (except for Suarez) over their first year, with money they will never recoup, despite claiming that they would only be targeting players with "resale value" they are being alot more stringent in their purchasing. Who could blame them? Especially when the players Rodgers overpaid for this season again look average at best. With all the talk of bringing in Sturridge and Ince I have to ask the question:
WHO THE F*CK BELIEVES THAT IS THE KIND OF BUSINESS THAT A SIDE TARGETING A RETURN TO THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE SHOULD BE CONDUCTING?
It hasnt been NESV that has been directly at fault for us slipping further and further down the table, it is the person or persons that has been WASTING their money for the last 2 years. I dont see how anyone in their right mind can argue this point. LFC transfer business since January 2011 has been nothing short of shambolic.

they said they were going to drag player recruitment out of the stone age and introduce analysis and statistical data into the process, they said they were going to revolutionise football.`

I didn't think so. Expect people to call you out when you make things up, especially when it’s to the detriment of the club.
