Ince fits the mould. Successfully playing on the right hand side in a 4-3-3 as an inverted wide forward and scoring plenty of goals. Has pace, takes players on and gets in the box. 20 years old, wouldn’t cost an arm and a leg in terms of transfer fee or wages. He ticks most of the boxes, just a matter of whether he could go on and produce in the premier league. My only worry about him is that he has looked a little too greedy on the occasions I have seen him play but at the £4-6 million being quoted and a fairly low wage he is worth the gamble.

Worth a gamble if there is another 20m for a new forward.

Yes lets bring back the genius who brought Henderson, Carroll and Downing to the club, oh and lets not forget the sublime skill of Adams. Seriously you must be fecking joking, would not mind Rafa coming back though, after he's had time to aclimatise to the prem again :-).

Why is it proof of anything if we get Bent? If anything it's proof your a knob DD. You were asking for Owen Coyle not so long back ffs so your one to talk. And Kenny's last spell should have shown that he hasn't been able to adapt to the modern game both on and off the field. If we were to bring anyone back it should be Rafa.

Let's just support the current manager, get behind the team and give the manager and owners time.

Kenny is a club icon and I wanted him to succeed but I think he was away from the game too long in an active capacity and it didn't work out. I still think Rafa is a good man and a good coach but the owners ruined things for him and he took the blame, he lost it with the press and I don't think he'll ever turn things around in this country.

Brendan is a good coach, he's good with the press and he's still quite young. The squad is currently not strong enough but hopefully, with backing from the owners, it will improve over the next couple of windows and we'll go on improving until we're challenging for league.

If we don't get the backing in the next two windows, questions need to be asked but if we do, Brendan needs next season to show us what he can do and hopefully the momentum will continue over the coming years.

Please don't blame the manager at this early stage, there'll be ups and downs but I think he's the right man for the job IF the owners play their part.

Im not going to drag this off topic but how anyone  can say BR is without a doubt the right man for the job based on his past record and our current season is behond me.

because most of us unlike you actually have faith in the system he's trying to implement and most of us unlike you can see the potential in his managerial style. He needs a couple of transfer windows but he looks like he's going in the right direction.

bigger picture.

serious question: why aren't you supporting a team like Chelsea?

You clearly have no time for a manager to develop a team, you crave instant success making no allowances for a manager to grow a team.

If you had your way Rafa would have been out at Xmas the year he won the CL. Rafa got almost unanimous support despite dire league form that year.

Just so you understand why im concerned.

1. We have a young totally inexperanced manager who has NO top club experance and 1 SEASON in the top flight who thus far has results that are worse than the owls.
2. We have a board who seemed to stuff said manager up on the last day of the transfer deadline leaving us with 1 striker.

I wont bother to respond to the other point about chelsea.

Rafa on the other hand had just come off beating the top tow clubs in the world at the time in the league, he had put a side together that tore us a new hole at anfield. He was never going to mess it up. You couldnt be futher from the truth regarding my thoughts on rafa.

But then lets not worry at all and support them without question.

i'd say ince and sturridge are looking highly likely at this stage.

i like ince a lot but i think we let him go due to attitude problems didn't we? hope he's sorted that out. not a huge fan of sturridge but if he scores goals i'll be happily proved wrong.
