FSG, FSG, I have said many times before and I'll say again. They are the root cause of our goal scoring problem this season. Why didn't they back BR with the funds to sign a striker in the summer window?  My answer to that is, they are not rich enough. It is time for them to sell the club to another owner who is rich enough to do that. So FSG do not deserve to own Liverpool FC. They have done what they came here for, cleared our debts but the future for Liverpool is not bright under their impoverished ownership. Do you all really think they will build that new stadium? They don't even have the money to invest in a striker.

I used to think they generously funded Kenny with 120 mill. last year and true Kenny did waste them on clowns but looking at Kenny's the net spend after considering the players we sold, it was not more than 50 million. So the bulk of that fund came from players sold not from FSG. And now even if they can come out with another 35 million for BR to sign a striker in January, it is too late. No good striker in their right mind would want to come to a club that is fighting relegation. Would you? I wouldn't if I were one. Our strikers crisis IMHO would have to depend on the strikers in the youth. Any striker we can in January will be another overpriced Andy Carroll. So why bother? I apologize if I sound too critical or negative, any feedbacks will be appreciated but no abuses please.

If I was a striker I would love to play for Liverpool, especially if I could see that the only missing ingredient is a top class striker.
I am as annoyed as anyone that FSG did not dig a little deeper this summer but on th eplus side we are now in much much better shape financially but we absolutely have to get a good stop gap in place in January and then spend big in the summer if we have any ambitions of regainig our place in the top 4 and evenually challenging for the league and they must surely realise this.

Whilst I am not a massive fan of Fenway Sports Group, there's a lot of nonsense being posted about them. Firstly, FSG have no money! Absurd, Fenway Sports Group are made up of several billionaires. What Fenway Sports Group don't do is invest their own wealth into their sporting teams. They want us to operate the 'United way' and have a model loosely based on the Arsenal model of buying youngsters with a high sale on value. Secondly, the stadium issue! There have been articles surfacing the Internet that state that FSG are in favour of expanding Anfield by 15,000 seats which appears to be the more favoured solution amongst Liverpool supporters. Apparently this will cost £150m and remember it was Fenway Sports Group who dipped into their own pockets aid in the refurbishing Fenway Park.

There's lots of nasty rumours about FSG floating around on the Internet including some users on forums using the Hillsborough tribute at Anfield on Sunday to bash them with and that's low and such false accusations of 'FSG didn't show up' can cause a lot of unnecessary hatred and mistrust from Supporters towards the Owners and whilst I am angry that FSG haven't invested a penny of their own wealth into our transfer kitty - they were the ones who cleared our debt after all. We're just going to have to accept that this the way they'll operate and we'll have to cross our fingers and toes while hoping that our fortunes will change for the better, sooner rather than later.

Some business people are not in a rush to get what they are after. It is the cheaper option unlike Chelski or man shity who's owners are deperate to become a part of the elite. My geuss is that FSG are quite happy to wait it out until the younger side to our squad get better through experience... 

I wouldn't want our club to rack up the kind of debts that the likes of Chelsea, Man City, Barcelona and Malaga have racked up, that's for sure. I read several articles that state Barcelona are between £600-£650m worth of debt.

I am starting to get disillussioned with this FSG. Yes, they saved us from financial disaster 2 years ago and that's about all they've done significantly in getting us back to glory. I agree with you that they do not intend to get us into debts but this kind of cautious conservative approach will not get us anywhere, we'll end up becoming a midtable club or worse, a relegation avoiding club, then all of our best players will want to leave and where will that leave the club? A scary outlook I am sure you all agree.

seen some ***** posted over the last few days on forums and for a change its not posted by me lol.
but i am starting to think there might be some truth in them having no money.
when i heard they where thinking of selling their other team i did think there was a chance that it would free up money to spend at our club, then i heard they had been reported as saying " in this current time it's important to keep money in America"
that fills me a lot of worry if its true.

They want the club to be self sufficent ! That means they won't be ploughing millions into the club. But what they will do is increase our incoming revenue to give us more money to spend. They want us to be like Arsenal who are self sufficent. Anfield will be redeveloped using a mixture of sponsership and finance and that will help increase our yearly income by up to £50mil a year profit which would then go towards purchasing players.

The owners are loaded - they are billionaires but they aren't going to put their own personal money into Liverpool unless its a loan - just like they do with all their other sports ventures - self sufficent

hmm Hicks never used his own money and looked what happend.....then again George Gillett did use his own money and his family money and look what happens lol.

dont get me wrong i know why they will not use there own money and they wish the club to stand on its own two feet. so far they done a lot right, the club is debt free but is not making a profit but is still looking better than most club.
our wage bill has come down hell of a lot but if they are not willing to back the team up with more funds to buy players then theres a problem.

I completely agree - however with all great footballing sides there are elements of youth and experience!
A great LFC player turned pundit once said "You can't win anything with kids." and the quote has all ways been taken out of context and used as reference point to how SIR is such a great manager?

For one moment, just remember his back four; Pallaster, Bruce, Erwin, Parker - let alone the midfield which still incuded ROBBO! -
It is a COMPLETE myth that youth and only youth can win at the top level of football...
My point is - we need to strike the right balance which means sometimes buying the right player for the right time -
Do we need to spend millions upon millions - NO - but we do need to purchase the right man for the right job - simple

REMEMBER when Rafa took over - he inherited Cisse - it wasn't his choice (it was Houlliers) - Rafa didn't moan or drop the player but WORKED with him and instead invested what money was available to improve the team -NUFF SAID!

I fail to see how loaning a club money makes that club self sufficient? Also I highly doubt that FSG would loan us any money, if so why didn't they loan Brendan Rodgers money to bring in Clint Dempsey or give Rodgers a loan of £30m to bring in a top striker?

With FSG in charge the only way Rodgers will get money is through player sales and through revenue streams, that's it. There won't be any loans placed on the club like the last Owners did with us, that counts as risky spending.

However I do feel we're in for a long hard several year slog before things even start to look better.
