Supposedly we've signed him for £3 million. Considering he banked in 10 goals and 8 assists in 27 games last season in the dutch league, that's really not bad. He could potentially be a good squad player, and he's only turned 24 yesterday.

Why do we always have to play it cheap with our wingers?
Is there any doubt why we never have any top class wingers?
Besides Downing we have never ever paid 10+ million for one.
But central midfielders?

Just because he was cheap doesn't mean he isn't good. The dutch league has produced some incredible talent over the years, and there's no reason to believe it will stop. Newcastle have spent nothing on their squad, and they've picked up some very valuable players. Obviously that's not always going to happen, but there's no reason it can't. Just because we didn't spend a lot of money on him doesn't mean he isn't good.

Right because till now our redicules spending proved them self on the money ...Carrol ,Downing ,Hendo ,Keane ,Aqua ,Adam...It's time for our scouting devision ,if there was even one ,to start earning their salary. And those kind of under the radar signing shows a new welcomed approach is being tested in Andfield.
