Sigurdsson went to Spurs because of the whole package being more attractive than anything we offered him ( not just the money )

Spurs currently are a more attractive club to potential players. We currently are a just above average mid table team.

We are on the cusp of a new season starting ,so how the fuck do you consider us "Mid Table "  ???
Sometimes I despair at the lack of faith .

Because that is exactly where we have been finishing over the last three years. That is reality of our current situation we face. The fact it is a new season doesn't suddenly boost us up the table until we start proving it on the pitch

Half the problem on here is the unrealistic expectations demanded on the club and players etc - how many people are expecting CL football all because we changed manager - yes Rodgers has said some good words but nothing has changed on the pitch yet and that is were it matters.

if people had more realistic expectations then maybe just maybe the manager and team would be able to have time to build their way up.

The one calling for peoples heads are the ones who demanded too much in the first place.

We appear to be linked with Jovetic again. Haven't seen much of him since we played Fiorentina a few years back. Does anyone know how he's progressed since then? Is he worth £17m?

I've liked Jovetic, would be thrilled to get him, but I'm not too optimistic.

Santiago Segurola ‏@SegurolaOficial
El Liverpool ha hecho una oferta de €19.7m por Jose Callejon del Madrid. El club estaria dispuesto a venderlo. A Callejon le gustaria irse.

I've seen Callejon play for Madrid a few times, and he's actually a pretty decent player.  That's a lot of money for him, but I feel he's a player to get excited about if he was headed here.

That's way too much for him! With that amount you could get Luciano Narsingh and Andriy Yarmolenko, 2 very good young wingers who have a great future ahead of them.

Callejon looks a very good prospect, 2 footed and looks composed in the final third with a bit of pace.

Never heard of the first player you mentioned, where is he from ?

Narsingh plays for Herenveen in the dutch league. His stock is definitely on the rise and I would welcome him to LFC. Tricky winger with pace, not just one-dimensional.

He's a Dutch winger, as Simari states above. Didn't play at all in the Euros despite being in the team but he's a huge prospect. Another player I would love to see is Patricio Rodriguez from Independiente..I've been harping about him for months as he's the closest thing to Cristiano Ronaldo I've ever seen.

The 3 wingers I mentioned have got pace, loads of it, and end product as well. Seeing the way BR had Swansea set up, he seems to favour speedy wingers so players like Kuyt probably weren't gonna fit in, and I would be surprised to see Cole playing there, instead of a more central position. Maxi's future seems uncertain as well, considering his age and playing time but he's very intelligent and perhaps if he stays, he'll feature more next season. But with players like Downing, Cole and Maxi, our squad is crying for quick players, unless Sterling, whom BR wanted to take to Swansea apparently, plays more often. Irregardless, we need wingers and a new DM as I really don't find Spearing reliable at all.

Not too sure if anyone here rates Andre Schürrle? He's a pretty dynamic striker.

Andre Schurrle isn't a striker, he is more of a forward who can play either on the left or right, but not a out an out striker. I wasn't convinced with what I saw with him with German national team, wasteful in front of goal and selfish.
