Cole and Aquilani back ? To do what exactly ? Get paid big wages to disappoint massively like they did previously

Aquaman didnt disappoint the few times he was allowed to play for the club.

He disappointed the fact he has no wish to play in this country and in the prem

I firmly believe that the players who have underperformed this season will be much better next.
We will have Lucas back and possibly Cole and Aquilani. If everyone steps their game up 10% we will be virtually unbeatable.
Add on to this  a few effective transfers to compliment what weve got and the future looks bright
:D

Ill give you that Cole was quite disappointing but youre way off with Aquilani
:no

Aquilani played well in pre season to get a move back to Serie A and we will give him away for a couple mil during the summer.

Every single manager in the last 20 years has contributed to his own downfall and each one was supported by both club and fans. It's football , it's about both success and failure - if you don't match up to both club and fans ambitions then they will face the consequences.

If you can't handle managers getting the sack ( crying for two days ) then I suggest you switch to a different sport.

There was no need to sack Evans when they did. Evans stated time and time again his desire to sign Lillian Thuram as a center-back and was told by David Moores that the club couldn't afford such a player as his fee and his wages would be far too much for the club. Now tell me who's fault is that? Maybe Moores should have sought new investment in 1996-97. Gerard Houllier won us six trophies, what more did fans want? We were winning trophies under his guidance, something that we hadn't done in years. His summer transfers of 2002 didn't pay off, but then all managers make mistakes in the transfer market. Rafa Benitez was forced out from all quarters for one bad season, and most of that season was him defending our football club and fighting tooth and nail for this club. Hodgson was just a lame duck, fans had turned on him prior to his press conference and Kenny was sacked for slight regression in the league.

The last five managers have been treated like sh*t by this club, fact!

Evans was worth another season or two on his own to get it right defensively it was bizarre to bring in Houllier as a joint boss. Houllier himself could have had another year after 03-04 but the club didn't want to risk a bad start and as Parry alluded to the other day wanted someone who could challenge consistently for the title. Rafa should have had another few years in charge but because of the politics at the club and the fact that there was not the funds he wanted to turn it around he wasn't too upset at leaving when he did. Hodgson dug his own grave from the start signing the wrong players and not knowing where to play Cole in the team. Kenny would have probably been given another year had he got the selection right against Chelsea at Wembley as that would have shown his team could compete against the bigger sides when it mattered.

Whoever comes in now has to be given time but it will require time and patience.

Once again the Rafa plot loss factor:
Bought him while he was injured.
Stuck by him while he was recouperating.
Played him till he was effective then dropped him.
Accused him of being a hypercondriac and a gutless whinger.
Any wonder why he wanted to go back to Italy?

No I'm not, I backed Dalglish, but I have to confess Kenny was frustrating as the previous three managers. If Kenny was our manager now I'd be satisfied.

You backed Kenny my *****, you were no more a fan of his management than I was, now for some weird reason you are thumping the good book of loyalty. You are coming across as a bit of t1t sir.

Agreed, how could Aquilani massively disappoint, he didn't get a chance. In fact if I remember pre season last year he was playing really well.

? Who mentioned Rafa ?

He went in loan whilst under the management of two other different managers remember. Aquilani's problems are down to Aquilani himself and no one else.

He should never have been signed by us and was a mistake

Why do you think he played well twice in two pre seasons - its called playing for a move, no doubt expect the same this year.

What hes doing is deflecting any criticism from FSG should they pick Martinez by blaming us for the managers being sacked

I very much doubt he ever really wanted to be in the prem in the first place.

Never cut out for the prem

fair dues to heimdall i may not agree with what he says but at least he doesnt change his point of view like the weather, i respect that.
plus in the eurovision song contest thread i posted a few youtube clips of abba and to be honest i`d forgotten how gorgeous anni-frid lyngstad was back in the day, i think she was norwegian so norway is my favourite country at the moment.
