Zé Roberto, real name José Roberto da Silva Júnior, (born July 6, 1974 in Ipiranga, Brazil) is a Brazilian footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Bayern Munich. His current contract runs to June 30, 2006. He has stated that he will not re-sign with Bayern and will join a new club in the fall. He was part of the Brazil squad at the 1998 World Cup, and is on the roster for the 2006 World Cup.

He is a versatile, left-footed winger who is a deft dribbler and crosses the ball well. Ze is regarded as somewhat underrated, as he sometimes struggles to win a starting spot at Bayern Munich. However, he has earned a starting spot in the Selecao where he will cover the left flank.

I dont think we need him. With Kewell, Gonzales, Riise, Zenden and Aurelio soon comming in I dont think we need another left sided player. He is good don't get me wrong, but Rafa will probably concentrate on bringing more right sided players.

he is 31,left footed, and on his way down, why would rafa buy him, when we have kewell and gonzalez

I know Kewells improved over the last few months but he's hardly performing like a world class winger (not saying ze roberto is) but I would not be disappointed if we sold Kewell and bought a replacement.

He's a very good player. If I'm right he played for Leverkeusen when they knocked us out of the Champions League. I'd consider a swap for Kewell (even though Kewell's younger), but I don't see any other way we'd get him.

Hello. I don't knwo if you remember of me, I am the Bordeaux's fan, I am French, sorry for my english. In France, every body say Ze Roberto go at Bordeaux. His agent was at Bordeaux the last week, and normaly it's OK. I have lot of article if you want...

ze roberto seems to have re-invented himself to be a holding midfielder, well for brasil anyway. He has become quite good at it aswell. Very good stamina, decent in the tackle, good passer and he can dribble out of tight spaces. Cant see us going for him though.
