Even if that Times story was true Jurgen was such a great coach and motivator i'm sure he would have got a tune out of Anthony and for that matter any of those other flops at United if he'd have managed them.

Nah - Antony is a staggeringly bad player

If Klopp was at Manure, he'd refuse some of those players entry to the training ground.

He did that with Mario Balotelli - pretty much told him to stay at home until we could find a club to take him.

More talk of Guehi today and yesterday. I honestly don't think the lad is that good, but that's just my opinion. Overpriced because he's an England international too.

According to CIES Football Observatory, Cody Gakpo and Darwin Nunez are the two most valuable players in terms of transfer fees currently on Liverpool’s books.

The duo’s value is somewhat skewed because of the length of time left on their contracts, compared to star players like Van Dijk, Salah and Alexander-Arnold, who can all currently leave on free transfers at the end of the season.

Regardless, it’s estimated by CIES that Gakpo holds a value of £87million to Liverpool, while Nunez clocks in just below that figure on £82m.

Below them, Ryan Gravenberch is said to be worth £81m, Dominik Szoboszlai £77m and Alexis Mac Allister £75m. There’s plenty of value in the Liverpool squad.

While it’s unlikely any of the big hitters will be sold, Liverpool’s supposed second-most valuable player, Nunez, could pave the way for future signings, if FSG can recoup anywhere near the £85m they spent on him three years ago

Looks like the Napoli winger,Khvicha Kvaratskhelia is close to sealing deal with PSG. Sure read rumours we were eyeing him.

For a player so highly rated it would be crazy to go to PSG. Had read a few prem clubs where interested as well. Ornstein was the one saying we where interested so will be curious to see how much he goes for in the end.

Liverpool have reportedly turned down a substantial £70 million offer from Saudi retirement League giants Al-Hilal for Darwin Nunez. £70m? ffs

Looks like Arsenal are on the verge of signing Zubimendi. It's clear they need a striker, so this signing is just a middle finger up at us and City who've both been heavily linked to him.

He'll improve them in midfield, but he's not the player they need.

I'm liking the look of Tzimas the young Greek striker we've been linked with. Ideally I would have liked to have sold Darwin for £75m and got Tzimas for £25m and Zubimendi for £50m.

If that's true then we've been offered a get out of jail card and refused. I don't think we're that stupid, unless we're hoping for an improved bid.

Comment above me is right, with that sort of money we can buy both a decent forward to replace Darwin and a decent midfielder.

We must have rocks in the head if we turned down 70 for Nunez. That's way more than he's worth and would be fantastic business on our part.

Zubimendi to ***** seems to be happening. Talk is they are working out the details on a move that will see him arrive at the end of the season.  I'd rather we went back in for him as he would suit us much better. He's a natural 6 and alongside Grav we would be hard to break down. Mac Allister has been fantastic for us but can't help but feel we could get more out of him in an advanced role. There I think he would influence games a lot more in that position.

might be rejected due to the structure of the deal - are they offering £70m up front or does it include loads of add-ons?

Either way, he needs to be moved on.

I frankly wouldn’t be bothered how the deal is structured. Just get rid !!

he can't score against League 2 so he might stand a chance of bagging a load  in the retirement league. The levels are similar to out National League North

They should've accepted the deal and looked into getting some reinforcements this month, preferably at the back.
