Maybe they'll confirm some additional signings that were completed late this evening, hence done for this window!! Wait for a nice surprise.

Loving the optimism but don't think we will see anymore arrive now.

Nah, he said they were very happy with their 7 signings and that it had been a good window for Liverpool

the big concilation though is that the center of our defence was our achilles heel so bringing in a dominant CB was our number1 priority and at least we have done that.
the front 3 of suarez, sturridge and coutinho are as good as anything in the division so i`m not that disappointed that we didnt bring in another forward.

Don't you think Mingolet Toure Ilori and Sakho will be improvements?

We have held on to a key asset. We have got rid of some players that didn't live up to expectation and were being paid an obscene amount of money. In my opinion we have strengthened both the squad and the first team. FSG have backed BR with a net spend of more than £20m and allowed him to sell Carroll and Downing for a combined loss of £35m.

I think we have had a successful transfer window. The season is going to be very interesting.
Net Spend Over The Last 5 Years 20/21 to 24/25  (10 years
are in brackets 15/16 to 24/25 )
LFC €300m (€420m)
Everton +€33m (€211m)
Arsenal €557m (€853m)
Spurs €571m (€684m)
Chelsea €945m (€1051m)
Man City €370m (€1038m)
Man United €687m (€1240m)

Neil Jones ‏@neiljonesecho

Looks like #LFC will receive a fee for Borini loan. Around what they paid to Chelsea for Moses.

Apparently the people bidding for Herrera werent connected to the Mancs !! They had no interest in him and some imposters were bidding !

He is slating his players a lot in public - it's the quick way to losing the dressing room

Well that's that for us then. I think this transfer window has been more positive than negative.

We obviously strengthened at the back where we were the most vulnerable and where we needed immediate reinforcing, and we kept Luis in our attack, where we didn't have a need of new signings if Suarez was going to stay.

We didn't reinforce in midfield though, but I think it was never the plan to do so. Rodgers is obviously happy with Lucas and Gerrard so I'll just trust his judgment on this one. What I don't approve of is our thin squad. I know we're not playing in Europe and all, but having kids as back-ups is a big risk. We're okay at the back but our midfield and attack are really thin in depth. The problems with fitness that our midfield has makes this problem even bigger. I think that we had no need to get rid of players such as Shelvey and Downing.

But overall, it's been an OK transfer window and I think that we're serious candidates for a top four finish. It's going to be between us and Arsenal for the 4th spot most likely.
