Ronaldo to anfield?

Liverpool Football Club - The Rumour Mill

Postby Paul C » Thu Jan 18, 2007 11:24 pm

I know it's from Tribalfootball but though I'd post it:

Unsettled Real Madrid striker Ronaldo is being linked with a shock move to Liverpool.
DiarioSport says Ronaldo, who is desperate to quit Real, is a favourite of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, whose company, Dubai International Capital, is on the verge of completing a £450 million takeover of Liverpool.

Sheikh Mohammed wants to celebrate the buy-out by delivering Ronaldo to Liverpool fans before the end of this month's market. With the Brazilian not Cup-tied from the Champions League, DIC chiefs are convinced Ronaldo's signing would boost the club's last chance of winning a trophy this season.

Was a great player, not sure about his attitude or commitment anymore. Tribalfootball is never right anyway

According to Manhattan's sources, it will cost about £20 million to buy Ronaldo.

£5 million for the player, and £15 million to pay MultiPlex to construct his toothbrush.

He's still scoring goals. 14 in 21 last year, 23 in 40 some the year before that.

That's scary for someone who is supposedly past it.

It'd certainly be an interesting signing. Doubt he would cut it, but a little bit of me thinks he might.

Ronaldo tends to bring a lot of baggage with him.

Particularly around his mid-section.
