I would'nt want him near our club, his name would look good on the teamsheet but i dont think he'd offer enough to the team in terms of effort and commitment.
Lately he's been more interested in living the high life than keeping in shape and giving 100% to Barcelona.
Theres no question that in his prime he was amazing but to me hes not the same player and never will be.On his day he could be the best in the world but too many matches i have seen he has done nothing and seems to believe that his presence on the park is enough to justify his place...Its not!

Theres no way Rafa would sign him anyway.Rafa will be more aware than us of his love of the celebrity lifestyle and nights out.Why risk bringing such a player to LFC,he could be a bad influence on younger players as well,we dont want the spice boys all over again.

No thanks!

I don't know how much the initial transfer fee would be, but I would take the gamble right now. He is exactly the player we need. We finished 11 points off Utd, Ronaldinho's the kinda guy who could provide the magic to help us get a result or dodgey 1-nil over them, this would effectively bring us touching distance.

FFS there was a game where all the Madrid fans stood up and clapped him off after a game against them.

............Mascha       Barry...............

It has become news that the goofy one is no longer wanted at Barcelona.

The question is really, should we be looking to get players like this into the squad? I think that we should if the financing could be arranged.

This may seem a pointless thread, but at the same time we are jumping through hoops to sign who is frankly a middle of the road midfield player for 15 million plus when possilbly for ten more we could sign a former world player of the year who is or should be at his peak.

I am not saying we should rush out there and buy him, but this is the kind of player profile and talent wise we should be demanding for our club. He would be worth millions in merchandising alone and if he fancied the PL (remember he nearly went to Manure) I think he would become a cult Anfield hero. After all Man City are sniffing around him and if he is taking them seriously why should we not move in... We will have money in the kitty from JAR, Alonso and others to go soon so why not chance our arm?

Discuss....

I started a thread about him on the rumours section and the responses I got Id say were mixed.Surprisingly some think the likes of Barry can help us win the league ignoring facts that Ronaldinho is 5 times a player. While he is demotivated at Barca fact is he is the BEST dead ball taker on this planet. We need such kind of player who can unlock defences.Unfortunately its not going to happen as we will get the likes of Milner instead.

Would be useful to have a top free-kick taker in the side, not sure we'd want a Ronaldinho type in the side or if that's really Rafa's cup of tea. Work over flair
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

Spot on Owzat, I don't think Rafa really trusts flair players very much.
