In the press conference today the question over Wesley Sneijder was asked and Ferguson responded 'we'll have to wait and see what's happening with that'

I'd be very surprised if ManUtd do sign Sneijder. Would be a complete change in style for them and while it might make them a stronger side in the Champions League, it would probably reduce their chances of retaining the league title..

If they do end up offering Nani as part of the deal, which is what is being reported, then I'd go as far as saying that it would weaken their side rather than strengthen it.. Modric, Benzema, Aguero, and Falcao would all be better suited to their side than Sneijder would imo.. Especially if Berbatov is on his way out as reported...

I'm not convinced of signings coming here from Serie A in all honesty, totally different over here. Sneijder didn't convince in La Liga did he? I dont remember much from his time there if I'm being honest

The Mail are reporting that the Mwanckers have agreed personal terms with Sneijder which include a reported £190.000 a week.

I know he is a top player, but for some reason (not sure why) i just feel that he will not cut it in the EPL. Hopefully the Mwanckers will have their worst ever season in the EPL.

Wasn't sure where else to put this so sorry if in the wrong place.

Anyway, i keep reading in the press (especially in the last 2 / 3 week) that we lost out on Ashley Young and Phil Jones, however, my question is, we're we ever really in for those players or did a list get leaked to the press for players that Liverpool FC "supposedly" wanted, but in reality, we didn't want them and the list was to throw the rest of the clubs (especially Mwanck Utd) of the scent for those players we were actually going for ?

Personally, i didn't think we wanted AY and PJ (but that' just my opinion).
