Who is our leader post Gerrard? Who is the media interest who will help boost the brand and add value? No SG, no Carra, no Suarez, no Torres etc..
LFC are pretty weak in the character department at the moment.

I've said before, Raheem is like Forrest Gump. Give him the ball and he'll run... right up the tunnel and out of the ground if there's no one to tell him to stop. The lad is ok at bits and pieces but I'd not sell the clubs identity to keep him.

Thing is he is only 20 and no where near the finished article. Yes he has areas he can improve on but if he carries on improving he could be one hell of a player by the time he hits his peak, which is still way off. True he may not progress, but from what we've seen so far, there's every chance he could develop into an absolute star for us. Already such an important part of the team.

Don't think he's worth the £100K/WK salary but that's why you want a good agent for. I've seen the club squander more money on useless f*ck in the squad so if we can get a good clause attached (eg, buy out clause of £70M, no sale to PL teams etc) then I would rather we pay him, and the likes of guys such as Can, Coutinho and Ibe

I'm not questioning his potential, though one would hope an England international of his age could already cross and pass the ball. I'm saying that I hope he's not the future icon that some have said he could be. I'm still hoping the academy might churn out a new Carra or Gerrard, though I'm not too hopeful, currently.
