Rafa and chelsea - Could avb's time be up?

The Premiership - General Discussion

why would he go there? After all he loves us doesn't he? why on earth would he go and potentially strengthen a club that is one of our rivals for the top 4 every year?

Would a man who is "one of us" do that?

My heart says Rafa would tell Chelsea to f*** off. My brain says MONEY MONEY MONEY! ....which might be what Rafa's heart and brain says too  :(
But as Kewel said, it's also work, and the Premier Leagues top 4 is about as good as work gets for a manager.

I can't see AVB staying any longer, I have a feeling Benitez will go to Chelsea

That would destroy the legitimacy if he does and a lot of fans will have a nice pie on their faces :;):

You suggesting that Rafa isn't the superfan some memebers on here believe

That's unthinkable...it's almost like a manager taking million in compo when the club was on the virge of bankrupty  :D

Unbelievable how poor Chelsea have been this season. Just a couple of seasons ago they won the league and cup double, only a season later they sacked their double-winning manager after finishing second and now, having spunked millions on some complete wasters, they're fighting just to stay in the top four and may very well not qualify for the very competition that Abramovich most desires success in. Well in, AVB.

the worst decision Abramovich ever made, replacing an experienced top manager who won loads of trophies with other clubs with an inexperienced young and flavor of the year coach

I've always rated carlo ancelotti and was very surprised when they got rid of him. He's a very, very good manager and i'd have him here in a heartbeat.

AVB too is a good manager, but there's bigger things going on. Fat Fwank and his cronies are crying to Roman every 5 mins and the manager is an impossible position where the chairman is telling him who must play

Still think he won't go there. He will come back here at some point so he is holding out for that.

Poinsoned chalice while the chelsea pensioners are still there. Needs a complete clean sweep. Id let AVB stay, get rid of 5 or 6 6 of the real old ones and make his own team

that's the only sensible way forward, but it won't happen. Cole, Lampard, Drogba are all best mates with Roman and AVB will go before they do

lol, just lol Chelsea are idiots!! AVB gone
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road
