Everton are getting nose bleeds! - Their luck wont last

The Premiership - General Discussion

Postby 72-1090627431 » Sun Sep 26, 2004 11:11 pm

Sorry for starting yet another Hustler Classic thread, but anyone keeping count of the Everton 1-0 marginal wins, which has seen them rise to the dizzy heights of third, 3 points beinhd Arsenal and SIX ahead of Liverpool! (albeit with a reds game in hand)
First of all they were crying about Loosing Rooney the Looney, "He's a traitor" etc etc (like he owed that s**t anything!) but now cause they have had four clean sheets in the prem in a row, they think they are gonna get champions league footy next year. quietly confident i think.
The same thing will happen as what happened two years ago, or worse, cause Everton never beat anyone 3-0 4-0 or 4-1 etc, they always scrape 1-0 wins, meaning tight games.
As soon as thier luck runs out with that first division squad that they have, they'll finish bottom half no worries.
Forget the "team spirit" and "pulling together" bollo*x, they are poo have a poo squad and will be found out shortly when they face better opposition.

Anyone care to disagree.    :p

To be honest though mate I watched the game today and although Everton didn't exactly tear Pompey to bits they were very organised ???

It won't last for long though :;):

Why are you telling me that? I'm not the one making topics about Real Madrid.

Everton are bound to trip over something and finish 10th at the end of the season. Can't wait till they play us.

btw hustler you are mentioning the 1 - 0 wins, it doesnt matter wot score we win as long as we bag the 3 points and the team above us (chelsea) hav won the majority of there games by a 1 to 0 margin in tight games, it doesnt mean they were lucky, because they have been one of the better teams so far.

I'm pleased Everton are doing so well actually and before you object i AM from Merseyside.

Up to about 10 years ago the Liverpool/Everton rivalry was largely good natured banter.

Looking at Everton's opponents so far only Arsenal (Lost) and Man U (drew) would be considered top half sides so it's hardly surprising they have fared so well.

With an ageing and rooney-less squad they will be happy to preserve premier league status and look to invest the proceeds from the Rooney Sale next season or whenever the next instalment is due :p

Maybe the players are on a mission to prove they can survive without Rooney. And I agree they are well organised.Best team on Merseyside at the moment  :D
