Dalian atkinson - Remember?

The Premiership - General Discussion

Dalian Atkinson

Sorry if this remember thread doesn't come here (move it to the proper place if so, mods please), but this player was a waste, in the sense that he had the quality, pace, strength and everything, but his mind only thought in cars and girls.

He came to Spain alongside Kevin Richardson, and Aldo.

Do you remember him? (those who are a bit older)

He had bits of sheer quality. IN a nutshell he took seriously the big games, but didn't train enough in the weeks against middle sides. He did some wonder goals like that one, pace and strenght he had.

He was caught driving at high speed by the police, and he did some sickies too not to go to training sessions. Aldo made also a couple (rumour has it he liked to drink a bit), but Aldo performed very well and he was a legend.

Richardson was a great proffessional and a good range passer, but his game wasn't the adecuate for the team he played for.

Thanks for the insight Sabre. There are a few players who never realised their full potential and Dalien Atkinson is one of them.

Sammy Lee, and Michael Robinson, both went to Osasuna and performed well.

Michael is now the most popular commentator of football in Spain, even if his Spanish is as good as when he came to Osasuna. His mistakes makes him more charming, he knows his football, and most importantly he's a red.

It's a fúcking difference to watch the Chelsea game commented by Andy Gray or one of those, or a red.

I always thought Robinson was abit of a donkey for us , not really good enough. Does anyone remember Michael Hodgkinson , went on to manage Hartlepool i think . He was pretty poo for us aswell.
