He reckons that they are most definitely in it for the long haul with AC, that they are convinced of his potential to be a regular striker (and scorer) for LFC for many years and are deliberatley and carefully taking things slower than many would expect or demand in the present age to develop his game. That means strict diet, very tailored training and careful use of him in games until he builds up his fitness, strength and all-round playing level. They are NOT going to sell this boy in January or next summer. They are going to bring him on bit by bit. I know everyone will be shouting that you can't do that in the modern Premier League, that results have to come faster but it seems the boss couldn't give a fiddler's for all that. It makes sense really. He's a massive investment of club funds - why shill him off to a Villa or back to Newcastle for a 20m loss and then watch him get his confidence back and become another Alan Shearer? This debate will rage until he starts scoring 3 goals per game, every game but I'm just saying, I can be patient for now and trust the manager and coaching staff.

Give him until Christmas, and if he still doesn't show signs of being a prolific scorer and complimenting well with Suarez, then get someone else in who can do so in the Jan. window. Liverpool can then loan the lad out, bench him or sell him. No PL club like Liverpool chasing for a CL spot can afford to be too overly patient with any player esp. when he cost that much.
A prolific scorer?... I don't know what you're expecting but he's NEVER a prolific striker... He's a heskey type of target man and if he scores 15 goals a season and contributes to the team game I would say he's a success... Right now he's far from being a success...
Problem with Andy is that he doesn't seem to have a football brain...
