It would be hilarious if United we're relegated or in a relegated fight lol. They are such a badly run side.

They certainly seem to have found the right man in Am I Dim (Amorim) to do the job. He just doesn’t seem to have a clue of what is actually required in the Premiership having come from a relatively lowly league. Long may his failings continue well certainly until after this coming Sunday !! We showed a lot of interest in Amorim when Klopp announced that he was leaving. Apparently Amorim’s insistence to play 3 at the back was a stumbling block. It just looks like we have missed a bullet !!
Net Spend Over The Last 5 Years (10 years

Man City £165m (£833m)
Man United £650m (£1204m)

Just makes one ponder though, if we had Alonso or Amorim instead of Slot would we be in this current position???......

United had got the money but no direction.

Good question but difficult to tell. Slot has done a fantastic job so far but he did inherit a very strong team. Amorim came to United from a lesser league but so did Slot, it's just that Amorim has to manage the total mess that is Man United while Slot came to an already well established Liverpool team.

On the other hand, Slot didn't come in and tried to be a strong character, he knew the greatness of the man that managed us before him and didn't feel like he needed to match him, didn't try to force some brand new playing style to the team, he just made some very small but probably very important tweaks to our team while allowing the players to play in the way they already know. Sometimes not trying to be too big is how you get better results and looking at Amorim I'm not sure he would have done the same.

Watching BRE v ARS at the moment. 1-1 after 35 mins, though if BRE keep defending like Keystone Cops, this is 3 points for ARS.

Entirely predictable. We just have to keep plodding on.

The way we handle Mo, Virgil & Trent last year, and Ali & Ibou this year...I am glad for our current run and it masked the deep problem within the club. FSG's policies will ruin our chance for prolonged denomination because they are not equipped to handle world class performers

• HTF do you put a salary cap on truly world-class players?
• Why were those contracts not sorted out 2 years ahead of their expiry?
• How could you expect loyalty when you keep lowballing your best players?
• Not investing while at a position of strength is very short sighted way to run a business/sporting franchise. Not asking to spend when we don't need to, but whenever an absolute class player is available, we must never miss the chance to snap him up

IRL if you have a rich boyfriend or a hot girlfriend, and you do not make the effort to maintain the relationship and keep them happy, what do you think will eventually happened?

I'm worried about what's coming ahead, especially if Mo & Virgil were to leave this Summer, while OTOH I am thankful for Kloppo and Arne for putting us where we are right now

Agree / disagree ??

Chavs and Arsenal drop points today. It'd be a shame if the Liverpool game is called off tomorrow

Good to see Arsenal doing poorly in EFL.

To be fair, they really should have had a handful last night. What impressed me was the energy they all had right to the end. It's as if they were on steroids. Never stopped running for over 90 mins. Makes you wonder about their fitness regime, though as a group they're quite a bit younger than our lot.

Arsenal played the full 90 and extra time with their main 11 then lost on pens at home against 10 man Man U. Hopefully they will be tired and demoralized during the weekend against Spurs.

Anyway, we got Plymouth away in the next round.

Arsenal should be on our 19/20 stage, 2 seasons they've been challenging and this should've been their year. Let's hope Spurs do something on wed, doubt it.

Gollum, my precious back at Everton lool, good ol smeagol.
