Taxi for Torres - judas fecks off to chelsea

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Dundalk » Fri Apr 23, 2010 1:52 pm

There are only a few teams who can afford him

Real Madrid
Man City
Barcelona
Chelsea
Inter Milan
Bayern Munich

And of them he wouldnt sign for

Real Madrid
Chelsea

Which leaves

Barcelona - who just signed Ibra, so I dont think they would be interested (they werent interested in signing David Villa)

Inter Milan - Dont think he would go to Italy

Bayern Munich - Dont think he would go to Germany

Which leaves Man City as the only team in my eyes that he MIGHT sign for

No, it has nothing to do with whther or not Citeh get CL football. He is the best sriker ni the world. If we sold him anywhere, it wouldnt be to another prem team simple as.

Well as a Liverpool fan i'm sure you would certainly hope not. But don't be so sure mate. If we are determined to get the lad and throw a huge bid in. then i'm sure your American owners (who i reckon will still be there during the transfer window) will snap our hands off.

The player himself I'm sure would prefer to play at a club playing CL football, With twice as much weekley pay as any body else can offer plus a partnership with a genius like Tevez.

Either that or stay at a club with no CL football, half the pay and David N'Gog as a strike partner.

Decisions, Decisions  :rasp

Torres said himself he is bothered about CL football, I didnt used to mind City but since they got a few bob the arrogance is ten times bigger than that of any Man United fans, your still Man City at the end of the day.

If the yanks sold Torres their lives would NOT be worth living, there is some liverpool mad nutters around that wouldnt think twice of putting them out of our misery.

Arogant??? Idoubt it mate. You should go to a City game and mingle with the natives. We are by far the most pesamistic and negative fans in the game.

However... Whever or not people like it, City are a major force in the Premier league now and we will only get stronger. We are certainly the biggest player come transfer window time. And if we get CL football then we could sign the best out there IMO.

I'm sure you guys wont like the idea of using such a fantastic player. Nobody would. But saying CL football doesn't matter is nonesense. It's something any player would say to not rock the boat mid season.

I'm not saying 'He's defo leaving'. That would be silly. But we would be favourites i'm sure. Personaly i'd carry his bags to Eastlands.

He isn't coming lad, yous are still a load of sh!te, get a billionaire in and suddenly you start paying well and truly over the odds for players who clearly don't want to come, thinking that they're genuinely interested in playing for City. Mercenaries lad, you're going to sign mercenaries, of which Nando is NOT one

It's clubs and fans like you that aren't good for this game. All you lot will accomplish is short term success and inflate the market beyond repair, Chelsea did it and now you lot are stepping up

yes mate - that's arrogance - coming on a LIVERPOOL forum to brag about the PROSPECT of signing Torres.

The difference is at Liverpool players want to wear the shirt, at Citeh they simply want to get the money

You say this ISN'T arrgoance, are you mad?

You'd be happy signing a player who only wants to be there because he'd earn more money than he would anywhere else? - speaking about a player who took a pay cut to be at Liverpool in the first place. You's really are going to kill the wage structure of English football

No disrespect to you or City, but you know things are sh*t when you get one of your own coming on a LFC site and saying that you're sure a player like Torres would prefer CL football next season. It's usually the other way around. The other thing you mention is his wages, which are not even an issue, because the lad gets his fair share here and seeing that he was earning more playing for Atletico than he is playing for us, why would he go to a club out of greed? Torres is a fairly intelligent player and I really don't think that even if your owners threw everything at us bar the kitchen sink to pry him away, he still wouldn't to a club like City, no offense. Torres stays here!

I'll swap you your snide Yanks for our Sheikh. Any takers??? Thought so. Don't be so hypocritical. Youd do exactley the same as we would and be every bit as excited at the future of your club. If we were run by a 'Sugar Daddy' who will go when he's bored as i have heard some people say. Then he wouldn't have bought over 200 acres of Eastlands surrounding area. I've seen the plans for their LONG TERM project. It's truely mind blowing

All i said was were we are interested in signing Torres. Don't be so oversensative. People shouldn't say things on line they wouldn't say to a persons face (K'UNT etc).

but I doubt you go around being so arrogant to Liverpool fans about signing Torres to thier faces do you? Being excited about the clubs long term plans and splashing money left right and centre on players and wages are two completely different issues mate. When you're owner gets bored, the wages will cripple your club. IMO you's will never get close to the size of ourselves, Man U or Arsenal. If we had a sugar daddy I honestly dont believe we'd have to shell out at the rate you lot or Chelsea did. Players would genuinely want to come to LFC to play for a WORLD famous club. People mistake your lot for a team that wears red

We are a much bigger side than you lot, if you do win loads of titles you's will get all the plastic fan w@nkers claiming to have supported your lot for ages, enjoy that btw, Chelsea can generate a crackin atmoshpere these days  :help
