Dietmar hamanns tackle - Out of order

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

don't want to sound negative but that was a disgraceful challenge. should have been a red card. as much as i love didi, that tackle was a potential leg breaker. at the moment, we are officially top of the premiership fair play table. any more tackles like that and it won't be for much longer. there's a difference between aggression, competitiveness and going over the top. didi's a very lucky boy. if he'd been red carded we'd have to play biscan in the next match. :(

I agree it was a disgraceful challenge no doubt about it, he got out of jail getting a yellow card

that's because schmeichel hates us as he's ex-scum and lawrenson hasn't had a good word to say about us for years now.

i also thought that the way the tackle turned out was unfortunate for didi. i thinkthe timing of the other fellar's slide caused it to be so bad. it was just mis-timed. i dont think didi would throw tackles like that in purposely.
it was just climsy and made worse byt thetiming of the other fellars challenge
its not the chilli sauce on kebabs that give you ring-sting, its the actual meat. had one without chilli, and still had ring-sting. the chilli's only there to mask the nonsense they stuff inside that bread.

On Match of the Day replay's it looked like two players going for a 50/50 ball. Problem was that Hamman arrived later than the Norwich lad. Bad Luck !  ???

I agree with that, i honestly dont think Didi is that way inclined to go around throwing in "leg breaking tackles". I think the Norwich player came a little faster than Hamann antisapated!

But none the less, it was a red card offence and he got off lightly.

Pity that MOTD chose to highlight the tackle instead of analyse the superb performance of Alonso yesterday. Had Alonso been a Man u, Chelsea or Arsenal player the Lawro/Rudolph show would have been wetting themselves with platitudes ???

Yeah I agree it was a bad tackle but Didi isn't a malicious player like Roy Keane, I'm sure he wouldn't do something like that on purpose, every player miss times tackles sometime, look at Owen and Gerrard against Everton, I'm sure they didn't do that on purpose :;): :p

In answer to your "Do they always have to be negative" question ....Yes. it's the only way they can involve the Armchair supporters and make them feel part of a game that was played 7 hours earlier  ???

Thought Didi was out of order and should have seen red for it. I know the lad is getting slower but there's no reason to bring that sort of career ending challenges into his game. I hope Rafa has a word with him. We can't afford to lose players on suspension while Stevie G is out. Who'll replace him? Biscan or Diao!!!!

do you really think he meant it. could you not see the hint of mis-timing and unfrtunateness of the other player's timing?

Didi is not a dirty player like Savage, he won't have done it on purpose.
