I dont think he'll go this summer, maybe next
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Yeah if we don't get in some quality players he will be off for sure next season. Although if things don't take a turn for the better on the ownership/investment front that would be as good as an indicator that we arn't going to progress so he could well still go this summer, especially if he has a good world cup.

Im praying to :censored: god something good happens to us real soon as if we lose him it's all over for us in terms of being a top team. It will be back to the drawing board with potentially no money.
My new blog for my upcoming holiday.

Fernando Torres vows to stay at Liverpool

Torres arrived at Liverpool from Atletico Madrid in 2007
Fernando Torres has dismissed reports he could quit Liverpool in the summer.

With the Reds out of the Champions League and struggling to secure a top-four Premier League finish, there was speculation Torres could demand a move.

But the Spanish striker told his personal website: "My place is at Liverpool, and in England. I've still got three years to run on my contract."

However, the 26-year-old added: "The most important thing is for the club is to try and sign quality players."

Liverpool, one of the favourites to challenge for the Premier League title at the start of the season, have disappointed their fans this season.

Having crashed out of the Champions League, FA Cup and Carling Cup, their only hope of silverware lies in the Europa League, while they have plenty of work to do if they are to pip the likes of Tottenham, Manchester City and Aston Villa to the coveted fourth spot and Champions League qualification.

Torres, though, remains confident the club can salvage their season, saying: "I still think that we will finish fourth, but qualifying for the Champions League isn't the most important thing on my mind."

However, looking ahead to next season, the Spaniard is keen for the club to spend money and improve the squad.

"The most important thing is for the club is to try and sign quality players, footballers who improve the quality of current squad," he reflected.

"Next season we want to be challenging for the Premier League title, and the Champions League or Europa League, but for that to happen we need some new signings."

As for the Europa League, Torres has warned his side against getting too far ahead of themselves in thinking they can win the competition.

"First we have to beat Benfica (in the quarter-final), a team with plenty of tradition," he said.

"It's going to be a very tough tie as they have a great team, with great players - players who are well known in Spain like Saviola, Aimar, Di Maria, Cardozo or Javi Garcia.

"They are also a side who play good football and they have knocked-out Hertha Berlín and Olympique Marseille."

I thought Torres movement in the box to make space for his second was touching the very best exponents of World Class ,his first goal was reminiscent of King Kenny at his finest and that needs a better description than World Class ,that simply was Liverpool Old School  class ,and I can make no greater distinction the Lad is a Legend in the making .......

We've had some world class strikers, but he tops the tree.

He has a greater list of attributes than any forward in the clubs history..... fastest to 50 goals (and no pens), hes clinical. To do what hes done when hes only playing alongside one great player is staggering... whereas all the previous top strkers at the club were surrounded by top players and in attacking teams that created endless chances.

To have the best #9 in the world playing for us is a privilege.

He was absolutely World class today, fantastic. I actually thought Turner had a decent game against him as well, but what can you do?

What a player...... absolute gem.

If those 2 basterds sell him off to service loan debt this summer, I will personally plant my boot so far up their collective @rses that they'll be able to taste my toes.

he's an absolute pleasure to watch when he is on form and of late he's been fantastic.
should of had a hat trick today.
good decision to sub him as no point to risk injury when we had the game wrapped up.

They wouldn't dare to sell him off. Torres to me right now is untouchable...

Only person that prevented him his hattrick again was his own manager

But agree we have to be careful with him due to the run in.

He did hit the post and fluffed the rebound, and hit wide when maybe he could have hit the near post target, but I can fully understand why Rafa took him off. He probably should have come off after the third goal, protect him for the remaining games of the season - three points secured, not looking like improving our GD enough

That said we could have done with an improved GD, plenty of chances to score the 7-8 that would have pushed us right back up with spudz on GD. But we made hard work of forcing home our superiority in a comfortably controlled game
