Could have give us one more season atleast. Only blessing is the amount of money recieved for him need to bring in a world class player to ease the blow.

Im fuming not hurt.

Rubbish.

Our team is far weaker without Xabi in it and he can leave with his head held high. There is no-one we can buy with that money who will walk into the team and be as effective as he was last season. He was a great player for us and a great professional. I loved his work ethic, intelligence and skill. I'm gutted he's gone but I thank him for being a great servant to our club.

i totally agree mate that, whatever people think alonso leaving will defo weaken the team at this moment in time! however i still say IMHO that he did owe the club but biggest of all the 'fans' some sort of loyalty in staying, please hear me out on this- last season i can't remember a LFC player given such a massive reception onto the pitch after transfer speculation than alonso, please believe me on this, his name was sung, banners displayed & genuine love for the guy was un questionable at many games home & away. i was at a few of the games so i know what the situation was.

it's a long time since the 'kop' sang players names etc throughout the side, during the warm up etc but alonso's attitude at the time reflected  how much the crowd responded to his so called commitment to the club. it was brilliant from a fans point of view to see his appriciation of this also at the time. his performances from then on proved he was on the same wave length etc. in  one way i say good luck alonso, but in another way i sincerly wish that he'd showd more commitment to the club & especially the fans! we deserve better especially after the way he was given support of the highest order.

live in deam land -i may do, but as anyone who knows me on this forum by now -will know i only want players who give 100% to LFC  an that alonso hasn't shown that,is a massive disapointment to me personally.

if alonso wants to leave,as much as it hurts me to say so -then he MUST leave,i only want players playing for our club who are totaly commited,an love the 'fans' in un conditional way.

still gutted at alonso's impending depature,i really am.

Very real mate, and if not a racist thing to say (it probably is but it's the truth) they're a fecking pain in the erse mostly. In actual fact the depiction of them in "Snatch" although obviously hammed up a bit, wasn't half bad. They can be a right royal handful in the pubs that's for sure.

My missus works in a homeless families hostel and without getting to unpc ,she reckons they are the scum of the earth . Closely followed by smackheads.

She is wrong..smackheads think about thieving...gypsies dont, its their nature!

They will try and screw you for anything..
I was in a chippie the other day and 3 pikies came in..They ordered two fish and 3 chips..The chippie guy cooked away! Then in came big intimidating da gypo...where is my fish?
Not ready..so give me 2 sausages while i wait,im starving!

It all went on,they had paid n all but the kunts would not leave the chippy until they got curry, onions and peas all over their fish for free!
Tramps................
Dont ever make the mistake on here....anyone that I or DD are like that!

We would take the till and his wife and sell her as a ho.....
Back to your brandy! :D

how does one become/escape being a Pikey? Are all pikey's the same pikey ethnicity, or is it only a socio-economical term? the movie depicted them to be like part bum, part con man, part trailer trash, part mafia.

Finally we got shot of him, can't believe the gullible tw@ts at Real Madrid gave us so much money for him, seriously he is never worth £30 million +. He sjust had the season of his life with us so it's downhill for him now, oh how he'll rue his decision. He'll probably end up playing for Manure in about 5 years time. :D

Now spend it wisely Rafa, spend it wisely. I'm still hoping he adds it to the £10 million or so we already have in the transfer pot and blows it all on Villa.

You only "become" a pikey if you marry into it as far as I'm aware. It is a kind of ethnic term, certainly so according to them. they maintain that they aren't "pikeys" in most cases, preferring to opt for the more romantic "travellers" descended from horse traders and romany gypsies. Cynics suggest that what they are is a cancerous growth on society, sponging their way through life, paying feck all into the public coffers and using the fact that they are never at a fixed abode for more than a few months at a time as a cover to enable them to break the law of the land at will.

They stick together through times of strife, so that if you get any bother with them you are generally in fairly deep sh!t as you are taking on the whole tribe. They do however adhere to fairly strict inter tribal guidelines in that there will always be a hierarchy which if you approach it sensibly, you'll always get more joy out of. There's always an elderly head honcho somewhere, who nine times out of ten you can actually get some sense out if you can get to him. Curiously, almost always if they get involved in a fight they will remove their shirts first, presumeably in a doffing of the cap to the old bare knuckle days. They do respect someone who will go toe to toe with them in the carpark however, "one on one" being in their eyes a reasonable way of settling disputes.

A curious bunch of people all in all.

You only become one if you marry into them ? Rubbish...
They interbreed, marry their own offspring, and proceed to breed with them. And their daaaaags

kazza wrote:Sad he is leaving but happy it is all over. Good luck to him and I hope we get someone better that will help us take the next step. Sombody quicker and more creative, that should help us break down the "lesser" sides. We will probably miss him for the big games. I feel deep down that we saw the best of Xabi and next year he will not be worth as much. Was probably the best time to sell but only time will tell. He will not be loved by the fans at Real the way he was here, I am sure he will miss it.

As GYBS said, onward and upward...

Walk On

i only disagree mate in that we havn't,didn't see the best in alonso as i strongly feel that he has/gad so much more to offer us.

he will be a massive loss to our FC, an as much as it's hurts, IMHO it will take along time to find a replacement for alonso, cause through no fault of Raffa, any player or players that come in this one change in the system will be a change that wil have to be effective from the word go! for me there isn't many players that will do this. i sincerly hope this loss doesn't dis-rupt our system,an play to much an whoever comes in adapts very quickly, just like alonso did!

                               IN RAFFA I TRUST!

dude, this hurts. :(

i sat down and started scouring the internet for clips of Xabi's skill.

sure he didnt score goals.

but when he did, they were ones that were worthy of your memory.

and those passes were gorgeous. just watching them again gave me the sweetest feeling, the same astonishment and wonder as when i saw him play those passes the first time. i think there's NOBODY in the world right now that can play like him. Not Aquilani, not Sneijder. he was one hell of a footballer that man. i'll for one will miss his neat, and simple passes. they have an aesthetic quality to them, that make them so fun to watch.

So, goodbye Xabi!

THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES. :)
