:D Yes ditto if only life were so simple.

Seriously though, I'm fecked off with these t0ssers like Ballaque giving it all the large. Feck me yesterday he was saying it was all off, now he's got the inside track on how hard Benitez is to work with.

I'm over the whole thing, fecked off with it. Sell him on, get the money and buy this Aquilini bloke if that's who we're going to go for, and lets move on. All this trying to squeeze a couple of mill extra Euro's out of em is all well and good, but we've got a season starting in a couple of weeks. Lets get it sorted, he and Arbeloa want away so lets get rid. He's a good player is Alonso and I like Arbie too, but we've sold much better and prospered, lets get it done.

The stalemate over Alonso has also effected the Liverpool full-back Alvaro Arbeloa, because the clubs would prefer him to be part of the same deal. Arbeloa though is confident that his future will be resolved before the weekend and admitted that he and Alonso both want to join the Spanish club – only to hurriedly add: "I am speaking for myself, not Xabi."

"It is true that it's close [to being done]; let's see what happens in the next few days," Arbeloa said. "It seems that everything's going well and that it is close. It might even be wrapped up this week. Everyone knows how things work in football and things always take longer than you'd hope. There are 20 days left until the season starts in England and [Liverpool] would like to have the squad finalised as soon as possible. Let's see if things can be resolved. If everything gets agreed, then no one wants to join Real Madrid more than me. But if we have to wait, we'll wait.

"Let's see if things can be moved forward – for me and for Xabi Alonso. Xabi is my room-mate and we have spoken to Rafa about everything. He knows what the situation is and has told us what he thinks. Madrid's project is very exciting and I think every player would like to be part of it. There is little that we [Arbeloa and Alonso] can do because it is the clubs and the agents that are handling things. It is true that we have a great opportunity … I'm speaking for myself I can't speak for Xabi."

As disappointing as it is at least we have  time to get some new players bedded in to the team and we will have money to do it with the sale of Alonso,Arbeloa and Dossena so hopefully we can bring in some quality and maybe we will get Siva now, But who knows

I Know that would be good if Rafa done that but it wont do anyone any good and especially L.F.C

The best thing Rafa can do is get rid as quick as possible now so it doesn't distract the teasms preparation for the new season and get some quality players in.

Wouldn't it be Ironic if Rafa one day ended up there manager and once again over Alonso

Hopefully, hopefully this will be sorted soon.

I know he wants out but I'll be gutted to loose Xabi, I love him. He's a classy footballer and I can't think of anyone who will come into our team of the same standard.

I dont understand why Rafa would allow him to leave for such a price when he still has 3 years left. The only thing I can think of is that with that money he already has a capable replacement lined up and so just wants to get it over and done with.

Yeah knowing how much Rafa likes planning and preparation for things he will want it done soon so he can move on and get some signing in and ready for the new season.

I'm gutted tho that we will lose him

i like alonso... i really do... he reminds me of redondo i dont know why but redondo was my favorite player when he played for Madrid and now Alonsos my favorite player.. if he goes, id be dissapointed... but it wouldnt mean our titles hopes would be over... only a mug would suggest that, and they did tbf....
anyways.. aquilanis a player i like very much... said we should be going for him much much earlier than the reports came out.. same with hamsik, melo, de rossi, scott parker..etc but no one listened..  anyways.. aquilani would be a good replacement... dont think he'd play the same way Alonso did with the side but then again, is that sure to be a bad thing ? i think not... as long as he offers something positive in going forward and is solid enough stopping opposition id be all for him signing... i think our style with Alonso lacks that extra bit of attacking presence in the final third and i think Aquilani would provide that... my only concern is whether hed settle to the english game fast enough for it not to cost us ? if he does im sure it would be good business for us assuming we pay less for him than what we recieve for alonso...
