Someone pays £250m for a Picasso what do you think owners of (equally) valuable paintings will do.......................?
Wasn't the record before either Zidane or Figo for something like £43m? Most will be down to inflation, prices steadily rising, but you might hope fees would go up slightly more gradually ie £50m, then someone for £63m and then maybe £71m and then £80m, not from £43m to £80m in one near record-doubling step.

Their deal with Adidas brings in tons, especially the 4 years they had Beckam. Read somewhere he brought in somewhere between 200-600 million for the club, with advertisements and such. Now that they have Ronaldo, he might also bring in some cash.
Although I don't believe Ronaldo will be as marketable as Becks.
So are Real Madrid really that much bigger than Manure and us then?? If so where is their market?

Spain and basically everywhere around the world. Liverpool isat global marketing, and it's no surprise were not bringing in money there.
