Yes, and Santa Klaus exists.

Reminds me of communism. Lots of lofty ideals, but then in practice, its a breeding ground for corruption.

Man, it not only happens in the communism, every countries of this world has a lot of corruption, included the "free world".

Real Madrid director-general Jorge Valdano admits any bid for Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso is likely to be doomed to failure. (Marca, 0954 BST)

This is good. No team ever improved by selling it's best players.

Yea i read that , surprising as i though money was no option for madrid , how come the sudden cold feet . I think barca will get villa now that zlatan is valued at 90 million by Jose  , seriously where do all this managers get these values for their players , zlatan is a brilliant player but has done :censored: all when it has mattered

Because they have to actually claw back around 90Mil in sales now so they probably want to get most of that back before they spend any more big money. But by the time they do Villa probably will be a Barca player. What a team they will have if they get him too.

With all this 'talk' of Villa saying he would only play for Liverpool in the Prem, I wondered what peoples thoughts might be about this scenario?

IF we could get Madrid to pay approx 30m for Xabi we could then make a move for Villa.

I know this would mean the end to the Gerrard Torres Partnership but he could drop into his old position in the centre along side Macherano which would still allow Gerrard to facility to break forward knowing Macha is there picking things up etc.

Controversial i know but could work....

sworth 26 - great comments, however, I don;'t think we should even contemplate selling Xabi; clearly, he was one of our best players last season and seems to be getting by the minute.

We do need a new striker - I would like to see the young lad from Ath Madrid, he's very direct and has the strenght to play in the prem alonside Nando....

Any further thoughts?
