Rafa eyes wonderkids as Xabi part-exchange
Reports in Spain today suggest Rafael Benitez could be willing to sell Spanish international Xabi Alonso if Real Madrid include two of their brightest young talents plus a substantial cash payment.
Spanish newspaper AS claims that Benitez wants the Spanish giants to include Alvaro Negredo and Alberto Bueno in addition to £30 million to part with the midfielder.
Negredo, 23, scored 19 league goals for UD Almeria last season following a move from the Bernabeu in 2007. Under his current deal Real Madrid own 50% of any potential deal for the player and also have a buy back option, which they would exercise if a deal can be agreed with Liverpool.
The tall frontman (pictured, at left) recently told Sky Sports: “My future depends on Real Madrid, but I believe that this summer but it is logical that I am interested in playing in the Premier League and especially Liverpool.”
Bueno, 21, is seen by Benitez as a star of the future after he top-scored in the 2006 Under 19 European Championship and scored 37 goals in 37 games for Real Madrid Castilla. Equally adept as a winger or as a second striker, the young man (pictured, at right) could play a key role in taking Alonso to Real Madrid.

I guess Rafa would never openly say who he is interested in unless of course he was just speaking with Madrid directly.
This weeks Guilleme Ballague should be interesting.
