I have concerns regarding Robben's fitness, has he spent much time on the treatment table this season, because he was out for long periods at Chelsea as well
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing

I don't think he has that injury prone . The first season he was there , he dragged chelsea to the title , remember watching him at times and he was brilliant . This season he has been madrid's most dangerous attacking threat as well

Well Gybs n Bav.. the marketing by LFC AFAIK in india is poor there are many guys who love torres and gerrad.. merchandising is poor compared to mancs, madrid, and even ac milan, n barca.. Chelsea also are way ahead in these aspects compared to us...

Now that it's only a matter of time before Ronaldo leaves I think Perez will turn his full attention to Xabi. If something is going to happen it will surley happen in the next week.

Yeah I forgot about Ribery. I thought he was linked with Barca?

I think they are already talking with Valencia over Villa.

ribery isn't even half the player that ronaldo is

i hope they blow the majority of their Ronaldo fee on him

I am pleased he has gone (Ronaldo) but at the same time it just goes to show every team has their price. I wonder if Real will test Benitez's resolve.

I think once they complete Villa signing they would turn their attention towards some defender

I think its a big loss for the mancs  :)

Ronaldo has pulled their team out of the dirt many times and I dont think they can get a player to replace him. Ribery is a good player but doesnt have the goal scoring ability and i think he will go to Barca anyways.

What makes me laugh is how all the mancs would praise and defend Ronaldo when he was scoring goals for them, but now he's gone they are all like "good riddance", "he was a dirty player anyways"

Ronaldo is a proven winner, its not a gamble. Ribery in my eyes at least is half the player.

But seriously, Ronaldo is good but worth £80m as is the latest rumour I've seen? He can be utterly ineffective, but for his cheating I reckon he'd score only half his goals and might even get sent off if refs wore glasses. It's easy when you only have to fall over or dive in the box or outside, take a good penalty or free-kick that should never have been and notch up 6-12 of those or more a season. He could probably lash a few more in from the edge of the box if he weren't always looking for free-kicks and penalties, like Tevez and Rooney.

I don't rate Ribery that highly either, one of those like Benzema where I wonder what planet the people who come up with the fees are living on and, if a club pays it, what planet they are on.

Don't get me wrong, I wish we had bought Ronaldo, well maybe without the constant diving and petulance of a pubescent teenage girl. But honestly he's probably worth £50m, that probably doesn't sound enough to anyone bothering to read my post, but consider a few other signings of the last few years

£21m Torres
£15m Arshavin
£9.65m A.Young
£32.5m Robinho
£16.5m Modric
£10m Kuyt (tongue in cheek, but he's better than most RMs in the Premeirship - is Ronaldo 8x better?)
£32m Berbatov
£25m Rooney
£25m Tevez (reported fee, must be something like that)
£15m Anelka

Maybe he is much better than anyone in that list, but 2-3 times better?!?! He doesn't track back, stands flapping his arms and moaning when things don't go his way, and where was he in the Champions League final? Missing along with most of the rest of the mancs. I might even consider £80m too much for Messi, but more likely pay that for him than Ronaldo

Madrid are unhappy because they thought they'd buy Alonso for 25, they'd even reach 30, but they're not willing to yield to Benitez's Demands over 40.

So it seems Xabi will stay  :D
