Id rather have 5th place and martin o neill next year then 4th and another season of this rubbish under houllier.

Chances are we'll miss out on Champions League under Kermit again anyway. It is only December and we're already out of the Carling Cup and fighting for the scraps in the league. We could have as much to play for come February as spurs or boro

I get mighty pi$$ed off at the aim being top four, we should be aiming at top or second. We are setting our sights on fourth which is the target of teams like Newcastle and worse

Why should they be? We finished 4th, 3rd then 2nd so we should be moving closer not further away. Fact is we're nowhere near the top because Houllier has bought poorly and got rid of the quality we had that got us closer

When we finished second and got to the Champ League final, I thought we were really starting to make progress, but the three signings had no or little impact.

the two signing we made this season were the best I've seen since Riise.

IMO the signing of Finnan was inconsequential and only the signing of Kewell was likely to make a significant impact. I said pre-season we needed to sign a quality striker, quality creative midfielder and central defender and we covered one of those. We also needed to get shot of the excess garbage that hangs around occaisionally making us wince when we see it in the XI. Pongolle and Le Tallec are players for the future but we need to make inroads now Houllier should have bought players like that when he started his infamous five-year plan not at the end of it.

Houllier knows we needs a striker, he will sign someone(Cisse), it takes time to find the right player.

I fear the arrival of Cisse, I've seen nothing to make me want him at Anfield (old trafford perhaps!) Anelka was in our grasp and Houllier let him go, we may not get that kind of quality offered to us on a plate for a long while. Maybe we should keep a keen eye on proceedings at Stamford Bridge where the gathering masses have to be reduced in number sooner or later

Anelka is the most sulkiest a#sehole on teh planet and we don't want him.

I am not going to judge Cisse at least till I've seen him in ten full matches.
