We are all hurt you know !

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Ciggy » Fri Jan 22, 2010 3:43 pm

After last season, the dissappointment of not winning the league when we where so close you could smell it, touch it, feel it only for the mancs to take it out of our grasp through no fault of our own if Gerrard & Torres would have been fit for most of the season then 7 of them draws may have been wins.

The summer was looking promising we thought we would add 1 or 2 attacking options and keep hold of Xabi but them attacking options didnt arrive and xabi departed added to that the stupid competition in SA which meant Reira & Torres hardly had any time off pre-season trips around the world with injured players flying back home.
the team didnt even have a pre-season it was a mixture of our reserves a bit of a mish mash, I was worried thought we are not ready for the season and we didnt even have to play CL qualifiers.

The transfer window shut we bought no strikers or wingers, Glen johnson looked great an attacking improvement on Arbeloa then the England divys start getting on his back with he can't defend :glare: neadless to say his nerves went and he became a liability with Carra having to cover for him and Insua. Skrtel lost the plot and Big Sammi had departed no Alonso protecting the back 4 Agger injured a recipe for disaster.

What had gone from one of the most miserly defences to one leaking goals like a sieve last season when we went behind in games we came back fighting to win them, this season however has not been the case with the defence's nerves gone from set-pieces.

Onto the midfield Rafa made two big, big mistakes his one man cruisade to sign Gareth Barry ultimatley made Alonso leave and signing an (injured) player as his replacement Aqualini cost us dearly this season we will have to wait and see if Alberto is all that he is cracked up to be but what little we have seen of him he offers more flair than the Lucas & Masch combo.

Reira out injured for nearly 4 months, Yossi in and out of the team injured, Kuyt tired out of form, Gerrard injured our most influential player.

Torres our main striker in and out of the team injured hamstrings, groin strains and now cartlidge damage missing for another 6 weeks. The german porn star back because we couldnt afford to buy a striker, Babel being a twit on tw@tter, and us having to relay on david Ngog that cost a whopping 1.5 million eat your heart out Man City  :shifty

So you see we have had all these problems yet people choose to ignore them and just type or ring in phone ins and say RAFA OUT whilst ignoring the problems we have had this season.

And its not being Pro or Anti Rafa it fuckin hurts to see the club I adore losing games and getting beat by absolute shite like Reading & Portsmouth. We do not take any pleasure in getting beat but those who want Rafa out absoluty revel in it I can see you smiling with evil eyes behind your pc screens just to say I told you so.

You people gloat in our misery, we are really hurting inside I cried when Stoke equalised last saturday thinking how can it get any worst who has cast the evil eye on us this season.
But when some of our fans are gloating in our misery then maybe we dont deserve victory, because they are just waiting for the next time we play shite, get beat or draw in the next game.

The media and SKY have really stuck the boot into us this season with the help of our fans, but the Liverpool of old stuck together and get this siege mentality and protect our own LFC is our family and we dont let no one hurt it (we'll we never used to anyway).

All that is happening on this forum now is some people's soul intent is to argue and wind other members up they log on here not to talk about the team but just to abuse Rafa and upset other members.

That is all they come on here for, it used to be a right laugh but now its just name calling and generally grown men acting like school children and trying to get members banned and carded.

We are all pissed off we are out of the CL, FA Cup, CC but there is nothing we can do about, so for the few months we have left of the season, just back the team and get behind them thats what fans do all this negative energy is being passed down onto the the players they feel it they hear it.

And its up to us to give them a lift and be proud of them then maybe, just maybe things will start to turn around for the best we are quite capable of going on an unbeaten run for the next ten games we have the experience to do so.

So get behind the team and we will reap rewards you will see.

Well said Ciggy.

I must say that what it annoys me is not the criticism to Rafa. Some of my least favourite members here, in all honesty have expressed their criticism correctly. The criticism was harsh, but that's fair enough because the situation of the team is hard. I don't have problems with that. Numbers, discussions on players failings, arguments. No problem.

But the criticism I don't get after a yet another dissapointing result is the kind of criticism that abuses the manager or winds up the posters that still legitimately back the manager calling them names, or insulting them saying they do not truly support the club. This kind of criticism is as pathetic as uneffective: as if we care what a couple of posters can say when you're gutted after a defeat and looking at the table.

Curiously enough this kind of criticism that finds our manager so inept and so clown, didn't foresee the situation of this season. For all the clear mistakes Rafa had done with our squad, no one around here foresaw the situation. No one called the manager a clown, or an inept back in June.

Each of us has a view about Newkit. Myself I don't have problems with the style that people like S@int or MadeinUk or Ben Patrick or Andy G, who I profoundly disagree in many ways concerning the manager, but they put their opinions in an OK way. And a couple of them are not my favourite posters either, but that's not an obstacle to admit their posting is ok.

What I truly don't understand is the need to insult Rafa with names or ridicule fans like Nanny or Benny just because they still believe in the manager. Opportunistic, uneffective, and brings nothing more than bitterness to the forum.

But its fine to swear and ridicule fans who dont like Rafa?

Can't have it both ways people.

Its great what ciogs wrote, and she know i luv her long time, but its just the same thing, different thread. And the anti's (if we must pigeon hole us/them) are being treated like lepers, even tho we are all superfans of the team

I'd rather come on here and be able to say I don't agree with the manager without being carded (I'm never carded)

This site is cr@p at mo due to the divide, some of the anti's are acting like complete eejits, but so are some of the pros.
We all wanna win games. Anyone calling Rafa fat waiter or something like that should be banned, simple as.

I don't think I've got the energy to argue the points anymore and I do see the "pro's" side of opinions to try and keep things in perspective. Whether your 'pro' or 'anti' most of us at some point in time have been as bad as the other. Lately though I think there have been some distateful comments made by our own supporters about our manager. I understand their anger and frustration but to abuse Rafa personally is below the belt. Likewise though you have a few posters on the other side of the fence who are equally abusive towards fellow Reds and that to doesn't wash with me.

This season, thus far has been an absolute mare and alot of factors have tolled up to conspire against us. Our football has been abysmal, our thread bare squad has been highlited to what it is, average IMO. And the future looks bleak. If the fans at our home games can get the team up for matches like they did against Spurs in midweek then there is hope. Seeing all the footage of the fans outside the ground and hearing them inside gave me faith in the team again. Believe you me it wasn't the manager nor the players themselves that picked me up, it was the fans that lifted the current footballing gloom I feel. In turn this picked up the players and no doubt the manager and, with the squad as it is they'll need more of that kind of support for the remainder of the season.

Everyone hurts, they show it in different ways.

I dont believe the future is bleak, Maxi is a step in the right direction and if we secure Kenwyn Jones it would be another dimension to our game and in my opinion a great addition to the squad.

crazy when you read some posts recently, im convinced there are people on this site that are pi$$ed off because results have picked up.

not really bothered about the argueing on here aslong as it doesnt get to abusive, its what happens at the ground and in the city that matters and i think wednesday showed how things really are.
