Imo the game result wo`n`t depend on weather Rooney plays or not. Both van Nistledick, Smith and Rooney are players who very well could be match winners against any opponant. But I would rather have them pitch Rooney, who`s been out for months, than Smith who seems to have bedded in at Old Trafford.

I think that it`s more important focusing on denying Ronaldo a major role in the game.
