Rooney out for lfc match - 3 more weeks on the sidelines

Liverpool Football Club - Games

(Not sure why the original thread got deleted, but whatever...)

While I wouldn't want to wish an injury on a young lad, particularly an England international, I have to say that this is good news for LFC.

Although Smith's in good form for Man U, if we can keep him in check there's not a great deal about their side that worries me at the moment. They have a lot of good, honest pros, but the likes of Keane and Giggs are definitely not the forces they once were. If we can get our midfield firing in the next couple of weeks, I can see us really embarrassing them.

The original thread didn't get deleted Ivor but moved to The Premiership: Players and Transfers as this part of the Forum is Liverpool FC:General Chat.  :D

Threads hardly ever get deleted, and if they do, its because some Manc or Leeds idiot comes on here sprouting vile abuse.

I didnt think he would make it but im dissapointed he's not going to play. The atmosphere would have been cranked up for certain and i'd rather be beating the mancs with him in the side.

I could care less whether he plays or not as long as the Mancs lose.

He wouldn't make a difference. Instead of scoring three goals for the Mancs he would get two yellows=red.:D

He has shown that he can get wound up easily so if he plays after coming back from injury, he won't be so sharp and easier to wind up and get sent off...

Does it really matter? I rather see Man with their best players so they can't come up with an execuse when we beat them
