Well, no--that's getting a little silly for me, Bav. :D  Besides, he didn't score against Debrecen so it's really 5 in 7 in all comps for Liverpool.  Any way you look at it, not bad for a lad out of form. :D

I thought he injured himself the way he slid in for that 1st goal especially with upson sliding into him at the same time. Luckily Upson actually came off worse.

Sheesh, some people are hard to please!  :D  He may not be at the absolute pinnacle of his game but I'd say he's at least "on the ball" wouldn't you?  He looked a dam.n site better today than he has in the last few games--not just the goals but in terms of his movement, touch and overall body language.  What's really amazing though is that we all pretty much agree that he hasn't been at his best this season--and he's said as much this very week--and he's still scored five in six games.    :suspect:

Point taken, mate...
He's muck, sell him. Buy Cole instead...

Spot on Bob... What I'm really amazed is his variety of skills... he can score different types of goals... if he stays fit I think he can have a season comparable to his first or even better it. I'm also encouraged by his body language and his general attitude in the game against west ham like you said.

What I'm worried though is his way of running. I'm no expert in this but players with pace always have hamstring injuries. And the way he runs, his pace and acceleration don't seem to be natural...  :D ... I know I'm sounding abit weird when I say this but that's the impression I get... Like he pushes his body more than he should and that can't be good in the long run. Having said that if he stays fit this season and if he has a good world cup later he will probably cement himself as the best striker in the world bar none.

I want his babies
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Torres's performances this season have been largely due to the cr.ap awful service that he has received from midfield.

His genius yesterday got us out of a mess! Great ball from Babel and a remarkable individual effort - did Johnson get the assist?

For someone below par, looking tired blah blah blah, he's not doing his job too badly

TORRES 09/10

Played : 7
Minutes : 610
Goals : 5

Mins/Goal : 132
Goals/App : 0.714

So better than a goal every other game and people are complaining? ???  Take that in conjunction with the current criticise Carra campaign and people wanting Babel in the starting XI on the basis of two good cameo subs appearances, and someone reacting as if we can't win the league and can only finish 4th when I compared our start to the mancs in the past three seasons (12 points compared to their 11, 11 and 13 in title winning campaigns) and I think the forum is going mad!
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

It was Insua that fed him the ball for his first (nice interception it was to start the move as well).

Don't forget the cries that Stevie's been rubbish and doesn't look interested as well.  You couldn't make it up sometimes.  :upside:

I dont think its a criticize carra compain mate hes just been playing poorly this season & with his every increasing age people or gonna start questioning him.Considering how hes played this season hes probally been let off with the criticism

For example if Lucas had done the mistakes that carra did yesterday thered be aboutr 6 plages calling him every name under the sun

The guy is just utter class. Considering he's been battered from pillar to post this season and considering I don't think he's been anywhere near his best, 5 goals in 6 league games is not a bad return. If ever he wanted to fill his boots, Hull at home next is the ideal game aswell.
