And did you think this fool could never win
Well look at me, I'm coming back again
I got a taste of love in a simple way
And if you need to know while I'm still standing you just fade away

Nontheless, I am very confident in my selction for this time around, and take Sunderland to comfortably have too much for Hull. My "tip for being a good signing" Darren Bent will probably score a goal or two in a 3-1 win.

Tell you what, for a "Plummer" [Sic] and a cocktail barman, not to mention a dildo seller, that wasn't a bad effort. Just couldn't see that fourth one going in, ah well.

See my man Darren Bent has four in five Premiership matches now, must be my week for lucky guessing.

I think I still haven't picked the Mancs yet but I won't be putting them in against City, so it'll be another rag team for me next week. I'll wait till I see the fixtures.

It's looking like you will win both arguments with me Mick :(

I said we had paid over the odds on Johnson and that he wasn't that good, and that Bent was cr@p. Thankfully I don't have to be a good judge of players to win this comp, but I am now settling in for the long haul as I think we may still be on the first round of games at Christmas.

It's early days yet on both mate I think. I do believe Sunderland stole Bent and I've always rated him, but he's a little bit like Johnson in the respect that though I expected him to be good, I didn't think he'd be quite THIS good.

The reality is in all probability that neither player IS actually quite as good as they are looking right now. Bent fairly obviously isn't going to continue scoring as often as he currently is, or he'll score 30 league goals this season. Equally, Johnsons defensive frailties which while not being anywhere near as bad as the media make out are definately there, will at some point give any doubters some amunition.

From a media point of view it'll actually be interesting the first time our full-back costs us an important goal. Despite scoring and making a few, I'd fully expect the likes of Andy Gray to be all over him like a ton of bricks. It'll be a test of character for the fella, and it'll be interesting to see how he handles it.

So certain am I that this will happen, that if I were Rafa I'd actually be having a joke with Johnson about it as of now. That way, when it does happen he's got more chance of laughing it off and doesn't feel the pressure. Mind you, what the feck do I know   :upside:

I'm not quite getting the bunting out just yet though mate. Tell you another, Ace went against the crowd completely on Adebayor saying that he'd be a top signing and so far he's on the money as well. Mind you, those of us who said he was a c... weren't exactly miles off either (that's Adebayor not Ace)   :;):.
