I voted "others". It's a combination of tight-wad owners, over-rotation and too defensive a mindset. Those three things are the biggest potential barrier to us winning it I think. Fortunately, if we avoid too many injuries we may be able to overcome the first one if we can field our best eleven or very close to it lots of times. If however we CHOOSE to weaken ourselves needlessly by rotating too often and too heavily, or we CHOOSE to settle for a point in games when we ought to be going all out for wins, that will scupper our title chances pretty quick smart.

I can only assume also that most of the people who have commneted haven't actually voted. "Others" really ought to be the clear leader here  ??? :(

But you asked "who will be the biggest threat to our title challenge?", not "which team is most likely to win it if we don't?" or "which team is the biggest threat to our title challenge".

You asked "who" as in which person or group of people. And you included "others", so I gave you my honest opinion. I think those acts by those people are the biggest barrier to us winning it.

Surely if you are going to do a poll, people should be allowed to vote and comment freely, ??? It's a vote on a football forum not a general election in Nicaragua, so why not just see what people have to say? Argue with their points by all means, but you can't really control peoples thoughts, it's been tried before on here. I'm at a loss to be honest as to why my opinion has riled you up so ???.

Voted manchester united.
They have lost two of their best players and that will give us a chance but they are still capable of winning most of their games and going on long unbeaten runs.

We need just another couple of players though and i will be even more confident that we are the team to beat not the mancs or chelsea.

ffs mick why do you have to do it all the time - who as in which team i thought with the options i gave in the poll it would of been nice and simple ie i added some teams and instead of putting teams like villa and spurs and bs i just put others - why its riled me because as always you come in with all the normal cr.ap about rotation etc etc and its getting tedious and highly boring now and thought would try something new but no you bring it back to the normal c.rap -

in fact forget it mick put what ever novel you want you normally do anyway .

I'll be glad when the football starts, it's getting a bit tiresome people being so tetchy all the time. There were half a dozen people before me who didn't name a team in their posts, but for reasons best known to yourself you decided to focus exlusively on my input. I still can't understand why it's so important to you what I vote for, but I'll have another go since you seem in danger of self combustion if I actually answer the question truthfully.

So, assuming the owners back the manager in the transfer market, and assuming we don't scupper ourselves with uber rotation, a revisiting of the delayed gazelle, and further assuming that when a team is either stricken and down to 10 men, or it's Wigan, we don't settle for a 1-1 draw and expect to be welcomed home like returning heroes, the other football team(s) who are most likely to stop us winning the league are Chelsea and Man Utd.

Whichever team if any finishes above the latter wins it, as is normally the case.

There, sorry for actually posting what I think. I promise I won't do it again.

I'm going to leave you GYBS because you seem to have got out of the wrong side of the bed this morning. I answered the question truthfully in the first place, I re-answered it as I could see you were getting yourself a bit worked up, and you still aren't happy  ???

Maybe though if you don't want people to post in your threads, you either shouldn't start them in the first place, or say in the thread opener "this question is for everyone except Mick because if he posts I'll just go off on one for no reason".

I'm still absolutely mystified by your stance this morning/evening over there, but there seems to be little I can do about it.

Just a thought though. If you start a poll asking which team is the most likely to stop us winning the league by virtue of winning it themselves, given there are only two sensible options, the thread has a shelf which is quite limited. Once people have voted for either Chelsea or Manchester United, there si little to discuss unless someone broadens it a bit.

And it's me who "runs the house", even though you are attempting to dictate how and where I post  ??? Anyway, sorry once again for posting in your thread, I won't make the same mistake again   :lookaround .

I voted Manchester United. Chelsea are similarly strong, but Manchester United have that bunch of submissive coaches and refs, who, alongide with a few F.A. bástards, mean some points every season. So Manchester United will be the toughest rivals.

as i said mick post what the f.uck you like , the thread was about which teams pose the biggest threat and most people can see that yet you bring in the normal c.rap about gazelle and rotation and its boring as feck now - no wonder people post less and people like lando cant be arsed to post about football anymore - taff has it spot on - there is a gang mentality on here now and behold anyone who posts something you and your other musketeers dont like cause in they come on the big round up from all sides - have you p.issed me off - yes no doubt cause its always the same thing with you - rotation this , gazelle theory that and its now boring as f.uck . if thats your idea of broaden the debate by trawling out you same old sh.it every time you get a chance god help us all when you dont broaden the subject .
