He he , i felt like a bit of a celeb before :laugh:

i went over to the park at the back of ours with my grandaughter an my son, they had a fete on , he headed straight for the beer tent to meet his mates , so i phoned my daughter who was at the gym to meet me there aswell, Anyway she turned up with her mate , not boyfriend , Mate, theyd been the gym anyway this lad plays for West ham an loads recognised him , :censored:

hell you should of seen some of the knobsheads gathering round him, an even though my daughter is only his mate you had stupid bimbos pushing her out the way, so i kicked off an let rip an told a few of them bimbos to behave there :censored:

I didn't say it was normal behaviour but his upbringing was anything but normal so as others have already said in the other thread that'snot an excuse but it probably contributed in some shape or form. Sure it is dogey but at the end of the day he was never found guilty. It's far too easy for people on here or anyone looking in from the outside to say ooh he bought the court or ohh he must be this or that. The truth is none of us know for sure but we can only go by the facts. And the facts state that he is innocent.

Do you not think during the trial the kids were asked in detail to describe any sexual encounters? If he really did do it then those kids would have remembered the details as horrible as they might have been but they couldnt say anything because it never really happened.

I have been ina similar situation to this. A mate of mine was almost done for rape a few years ago but in the end it turned out the girl was making it up. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but the fact that his albums have gotten to number 1 again this weekend just shows that most believe the facts and so should everyone. There will always be people like you and GYBS and Lando who will always question the events and try to believe something else, heck where do you think conspiricy theories come from. Truth is those views are a minority - And as Rafa woudl say thats a fact!

The victim's father has admitted he only used Barrymore's name so that it would raise the profile of the case and they'd investigate who really killed his son (if it was indeed murder). Mud sticks though and most often people remember the accusations but not the truth when it is finally revealed.

Remember Pete Townshend being accused of paedophilia? The papers were quick to splash him across the front pages when they discovered he'd used a credit card to access a kiddy porn site. They were quick to rip into his excuse too. he said he believed he'd been abused and was investigating it for his memoirs. He claimed he'd informed his local police what he was doing before accessing the site.

The police denied it and it hit the papers. He was a paedophile. The papers were judge, jury and executioner. No one believed he was innocent. And then what happened? The police bothered to search their records and found he had indeed notified them and they were aware of his actions. Did that get splashed across the front pages? Of course not. It was hidden away because finding out someone is innocent is not newsworthy.

So my gripe is that papers should spend exactly the same amount of space on admitting their mistakes as they doing making accusations. So if the paper has 3 front pages and 25 pages about how someone is a rapist/paedophile/murderer/*insert crime here then they should have 3 front pages and 25 pages explaining how they got it wrong.

What would Barrymore be guilty of?
At his party a guy died in the swimming pool of severe lower back injuries!
No forensics were done and all that due to it being Barrymore.

It'snot like Barrymore stopped the police himself though. It wouldn't surprise me if the police would have taken that attitude if it was at a non-celeb party with coke and gay sex all over the place. They'd never get accurate witness statements and would probably never get to the truth so they class it as accidental.

I don't blame the father for wanting the truth but it's daft that our celebrity culture means Barrymore is the one people associate with it, not the real killer (be it person or accident).
