Apparently they have a deal for Etoo and Teves sorted out... Also being heavily linked to Lescott atm....
Still cant understand why they'd go out and buy 3 forwards (Teves, Etoo, SantaCruz) when they alreasy had 10 forwards in their first team ?!

How on earth are they planning to play Robinho, Teves, SantaCruz, Etoo in the same side ?!
Now add Bellamy, Jo, SWP, Elano, Ireland, Petrov, Benjani and Boijnov to the mix and u got a recipe for disaster right there !
If we can get Elano, Ireland or even Petrov for cheap then i'd say theyd make good backup atleast...

They are doing exactly what ANY other team in their mid table position would do with what seems unlimited financial backing. Its sad that not many English kids there will continue to break through but I couldnt care less about the National team and anyone who does not see them as a threat to the top four just because Hughes might not be some flamboyant foreign manager should wake up, they might not do it this season, his man management skills might be tested with some many overflated egos arriving but they WILL be a threat.

I am not as worried about them at the moment as much as an Arsenal or Chelsea fan should be as I feel we are a better team than both of them (and thats not just based on the fact we finished above them last season) but if Hughes can sort out the egos and get them playing like a team instead of individuals ( which wont be as hard as some may think ) then EVERYONE in the League should worry eventually

reckon they're offering £10m a season after tax, its ridiculous this is
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

they're becoming a laughing stock to be honest, they keep making these high bids but when will they learn... NOBODY WANTS TO PLAY FOR YOUR TIN POT CLUB!!

Barry only went there cos he wanted first team footie to ensure he's pulling an England shirt on next year at the world cup.

I really hope they fail to sign Eto, Tevez and all the rest they no doubt chuck millions at...

fuking no hopers.

He got his England shirt back because he was playing regular first team footie at Villa.

He's clearly in it for money now.

really dont think hes just there for the money....
Between Villa and ManCity, id say City are the better prospect atm for any footballer... he clearly said that he felt he did as much as he could at Villa and that he needed a new chapter in his career... was between us and City, and the fact that he picked City over us clearly indicates (to me atleast) that he cares more about his England prospects than he does about money, silverware..etc

Lets be honest here, if we keep Alonso and Mascherano, Rafa would always play the pair before his does Barry.... Personally id rather see a Barry-Alonso partnership in the middle but im not so sure Rafa would see it that way... Guaranteed first team football + a very good side who will soon have all it takes (as soon as Hughes is out) to be challenging the big 4 in the next few years + higher wages..etc... not that tough a call to make imo

I've been saying that to my mates for months...I don't think he has a hope in hell.

They just need a better manager who could equip qualitu players. I feel they are try to rush things in doing a real madrid.. Buying over priced players and offering them ridiculous sums is just crazy.

who gives a feck mate, serves the feckers right. over priced players? so what they have made their bed they can lay on it as far as i'm concerned, their is no stability in that sh1t hole club.

an no amount of money will change that for me,you need genuine players who want to play for the FC & those manc tw@ts haven't got that an never will, as long as money is the only factor why only half heated/decent players have joined them so far.

the classic example for me was when robinho last season played like he couldn't give a feck at times -money that's all he is thinking of, he had no heart, spirit, determination etc to want the best for the club who pay his wages & i really believe the attitude of other players resulted as a fact of this.

name me one top manager who would even want to go to them- cause even with all the money they have, they haven't attracted them yet! says it all for me. 'clutching at straws' springs to mind with everything they do & stand for.
