Project Natal

I have a ps3 and i thought sony did a brilliant job but check out what microsoft are planning for the 360 and 720 . Its called project natal and this will officially kill Wii

Nope nothing as of yet , no release date but rumored to be set for release late 2010

i doubt it will kill off the wii because the rumours ive heard the new wii wont have a remote either

looks great... if you have a living room the size of that one. Jumping up and down your gonna need headroom and also why would they isolate parts of the market that aren't as active and can not jump around like them actors? People like a mate of mine who has bad feet and can only walk a few yards at a time? He uses the Wii with no problems cos he sits down to use it. Young kids will love it, until they go for that roundhouse and kick granny (who was sitting in the armchair enjoying a nice cup of tea) in the face.

I will be amazed if Project Natal works anywhere near as well as in that video. How can it know which person to take the motion from? If you're driving a GP and your dad sips his tea will that cause an accident?

The Wii Motion Plus has great potential although the annoying thing is football is out of the question unless you strap the controller to your foot!

Trust me, that will be a load of bollox. It'll work with gimmicks for the odd party game for the 360 and some arcade games for the system, but it's just a silly gimmick that will never get off the ground. It's not the future. It's not the way forward. And it's not a new way of playing either. Ninendo barely got away with selling the idea of the Wii to people by gesture based games. With this, you'll just completely look like an utter c0ck in front of a TV. At least now people can see people through a window swinging their arms about and realize that it's just them playing a Wii because they can see the controller in their hand. With this, you'll just look like a spanner. Oh, and someone needs to tell MS that Sony brought the Eyetoy out about 6 years ago or more. Wii's 1-2-1 motion plus sensor is the way to go forward and should have been introduced from day one. Ninendo f*cked up there big time.

Looks stunning but don't know how it will work.. Seems complicated... A small movement could mean anything.. Always wanted to play a game like that where on could fight!!!! This is happen in the future im sure but i guess not yet!!!!

It is complicated to program that, and it can be awkward to play.

Still, it's admireable piece of engineering. To scan a movement, interpret it and have a quick response to become a joystick is tough.

I guess the games will have an alternative method of control with a traditional joypad.
