WE NEED TO GET THE GAME BACK TO GENUINE FOOTIE FANS. not company freebies

Surely all Premiership clubs have the same problem though??

In fact, I read an article recently about England's bid for the 2012 World Cup and there are concerns that Anfield may not be a suitable venue due to its lack of corporate facilities.  So how the feck is Liverpool affected more than the likes of United who have, it has to be said, far more corporate types attending games.  Doesn't stop them generating an intimidating atmosphere for opposing teams, or from winning the league.

It happens against poor teams on miserable nights when their is nothing to really play for. Lets get one thing straight, you cant blame the day trippers for a midweek game.

We have a great atmosphere, however, even in the eighties/nineties against poor teams we have been quiet. We can't create the european atmosphere every week because the surprise element would be lost.

We are still louder than the emirates and old trafford so no worries.

Yep it's hard to get into and out of Liverpool midweek from very far away. I remember my first game when I travelled up from London, I rang British rail asking for train times but you can't get a train back after the game. Had to stay overnight in a holiday inn thinggie. Very strange for a city the size of Liverpool to not have Inter City's going till after about 8.30pm. I know a lot of fans drive up and then drive back, but it makes it a long trek. The Nanny Red's of this world need to be fairly dedicated to get to midweek matches on a regualr basis.

I was at the game last night (kop) and there were plenty of ooters around.....for most of them it must av been their first visit cos half of em couldn't find their fukkin seats!....and they were interested in taking bloody photo's than watching the game, at half time some of them didn't get back to their seats  until ten mins into the 2nd half cos they were more interested in stuffin their faces with hot dogs!....bloody ooters should be fukked right off! even outside the ground before kick off you were hard pushed to hear a scouse accent. ???

I'll say it again.  United have more support from outside of Manchester than Liverpool do from outside Liverpool.  They also have more corporates taking up seats.  So why doesn't it affect them??

This is just a fu.cking excuse.  We've blamed Rafa, we've blamed the yanks, we've blamed Rick Parry.  Now let's blame 'the ooters' for things not going to plan :no

there is an easy way to find out who makes the atmosphere at home games.....give priority to fans with Liverpool postcodes....then there would be less ooters...and a better atmosphere...with locals who know the words to the songs we sing...cos most of the ooters dont!!. :no

mentioned in the match thread, I could clearly hear all the way in America, them singing "you only sing for Fernando"  instead of sing when you're your winning.  thought it was funny and sad at the same time

Cos unlike Liverpool they have a manager who knows what he is doing....and a team who know how to play. (although it hurts me to have to say that) although we lack behind them our local fans can play their part as a 12th man and get behind the team....when there is enough of us that is. :nod

So why does Old Trafford generate an intimidating atmosphere for away teams every league game and Anfield doesn't.  That's nothing to do with the manager or team.

The only thing that gets intimidated at old trafford is the ref
THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW SHINING AT THE END OF EVERY DAY.
THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW AND TOMORROW IS JUST A DREAM AWAY.

Hope not too many times. :D

How does the system to get away tickets work when for instance you want to watch Liverpool play there? I mean, are there queues, how does it work? It always seemed to be that the away Liverpool supporters sing louder, this season only, they have outsung most stadiums for what I can hear in tv, I don't think I'm exagerating
