Anyway, aside from all bickering I guess we will employ a new CEO. I take GYBS's point about Ayres or Eyres or whatever he's called, but I thought he was marketing or accounts or something. Ultimately, someones got to employ the groundsman, the bar managers, the catering manager, the cleaners and all that stuff. Liverpool football club probably employs 100's of people all told and certainly turns over multi millions of pounds, someones got to be in charge of it.
I've got to be honest here, I don't overly have any faith in Brian Barwick either. Why do football clubs fell the need to employ "football people" in these positions? If we are going to completely let rafa control the transfer side of the operation (which I don't agree with but anyway), why not employ a proper CEO, someone who has business expertese? It doesn't matter if he hasn't got a clue about football, just get somebody in who make siure the marketers do their job right, make sure the sponsorship deals are right, make sure the various factions at melwood and the first team manager are working together?
Yes we need a CEO IMHO, but not some FA fuddy duddy clueless c...
