It was a derby game FFS Raffmaker - i remember many derby games during the 80s when we were steam rolling everyone until it came to the derby and then it turned into the biggest shi ttest game in the world and they would beat us .

You can say that about this game then look how we played on sunday against chelsea ffs .

I cannot believe that some mebers are suggesting there are positives in that performance, that is one of the worst games of football I have ever seen. We must have created about 3/4 chances all game.
1) 451 is a terrible formation that stops us breaking down any defensive team as they simply sit deeper.
2) 5 years on and the football is getting worse, its like watching Bolton at time with long balls to Torres.
3) Torres having to do everything on his own burning himself out without support.
4) 195m on and still no squad in depth with a terrible lack in quality on the bench.
I like everyone tryed to keep faith in rafa thinking he had a new style or was going to do it a differant way but at some point we all have to accept he is wrong !! in fact only he thinks he isn't tonight on the TV I have seen Rush, Aldridge and Dalgliesh all trying to bite their tongue when clealy they want to say "What the hell is he doing". All the similarities are their is Rafa is Houlier in disguise (Oh wait a minute the Frenchman spent less and won more silverwear)

OK

Xabi was fooking shite tonight. Cack passing, did little if anything.

Arbeloa fecked up big time on the goal.

Was Riera playing? ???

Lucas actually did alright till the inevitable almighty fook up that he can't get through 90 mins without making.

Kuyt worked hard and did his usual impression of haile gabri selassie but still no real threat.

:D

In all fairness most of the flack has gone to Lucas for the sending off. Its seems fairly mild in here tonight !  :D

Lucas totally let us down. He needs to cut out the pointless fouling and he arguably lost us the match. Can't really blame anybody else though as they alright considering the fact that everything pretty much went wrong.

unfair mate. alonso was poor tonight and gave the ball away for the goal. reira was poor but these players do alot more good than bad so cant be compared to the other mentioned players who are poor most weeks.
shamrock rovers and liverpool are not a matter of life and death to me. they are much more important than that.

So in summary despite other players being poor on the night the reason we got knocked out was lucas getting sent off ?
