C'mon pal. that post was garbage

Don't take my word for it; just check the stats...

:talktothehand If it's Ok with you I'll not bother with the stats on this one. I just look at the game and it's enough.

All about opinions though, we're all entitled to one  :;): .

Theres only one stat that matters today mate!

Liverpool 2-0 Chelsea! :D  :buttrock

We find too hard to beat the deep defences. Poor game between lines. Too physical. Call me bitter now.  :glare:

There's something just so pesky about statistics! Sorry though, but where I come from, stats are often the unbiased arbiter, which opinion never seems to match...

But thats just me.
Floyd stepped left and threw the hook that caught Hatton flush under the chin. Finally, the British champ had arrived in that mythical place of which his fans speak: Hatton Wonderland.

What I see with my own eyes in game after game is a supposed striker who can't score in that position, being played instead as a right midfielder, can't keep a ball for 10 kicks without touching the ground, can't dribble better than my grandma, have about the same pace as my grandma, is a terrible crosser of the ball, gets the ball 5 yards away from him everytime he touches the ball.
And he plays for one of the biggest clubs in the world 90 min every game.

What facts are wrong?
Can you keep a straight face telling me he has better technique than a championship player?
I sure can not and not many others watching the games with their own eyes.

It's like the story about the emperors new clothes.
Just cause the emperor(Rafa in this case) says the clothes(Kuyt in this case) is great even if there are no clothes(no skill in this case) everyone forces themselves to believe it.
Work your *** off and pass the ball back is the ticket to success, because the emperor says so... :suspect:

Just watch the game lando, then judge.

How many times does he get the ball out wide, and your saying.."cross it". he NEVER EVER DOES! thats his job.

He did cross twice in the game today and both crosses went over the goal line.

Had he crossed first time, we would have had twice as many chances on goal in the game. its a fundamental error of playing on the wing! even aurelio crossed more than riera.

out of position and a huge error by Rafa.

Just dont play him on the wing again, he aint a winger.

so we win yet kuyt still gets a slagging . Yes he was poor on crossing but that was it . He kept the ball he recycled it and just for those that didnt see he had a hand in both goals , playing a nice one two with gerrard for the first tin heading on for the second . Lets not forget the amount he won tackle put blocks in , won headers as well as even having a couple of chances . All vital to a good team performance .

1st of all I am elated we won today. A must win and just a relief to get off that slump and to see the real Torres back in action.

But...
I just couldn't see anything come of that right handed side for the whole game as long as Kuyt was there.
What does Kuyt ever create during a game?
Where his creativity has made us getting a scoring chance or a goal?
either he passes the ball back from the wing or he floats into the penalty box trying to pounce on a rebound from a chence someone else has created.
Frustrating having a spot filled up with such a limited player.

And it isn't just that he can't dribble, becuase then he should use his pace to get past a player or at least whip in a good cross.
Or that he has no pace, because then should be able to dribble past players or whip in a good cross.
Or that he can't cross, because then he should be able to dribble and use his pace to get into the box.
The problem is that he hasn't even got one of those skills!

And MadMax, hand on heart, do you honestly believe Kuyt will be gone next season?
No chance....
